'Josephine. Distant in time - but close to me'
That is the title of the latest book by Princess Christina and Carl Otto Werkelid. Meet the author duo during an evening at the Royal Palace!

The event is on November 20.

Princess Christina and Carl Otto Werkelid were in Falun on October 4 at The Swedish History Days conference to tell about their book of Joséphine.

Princess Christina tells about her cancer treatments at the website of Radiumhemmet's Research Funds:
Princess Christina has suffered from cancer not just once, but twice in her life.
- I am deeply grateful for the research progress of recent years that has enabled effective treatment methods for difficult cancer diseases.
As a public figure and royalty, talking about one's illnesses was taboo for a long time. Princess Christina has chosen to be open about her cancer diagnoses.
- For me, it has always felt obvious to tell. When you undergo treatment and, as in my case, become isolated, it is also good that people know why.

Oscar Magnuson was interviewed at TV4's News morning yesterday, he has designed a tealight candleholder to the Tobias Registry, the Swedish registry for blood stem cell donors. The registry was founded in 1992 by the parents of Tobias Storch, who died at the age of 17 while waiting for stem cells.
Nicole Silverstolpe, the CEO of Tobias Registry, tells that the registry has given a flower bouquet to the blood stem cell donors as a thank you. But they were thinking that they needed a more sustainable gift and started thinking if they knew someone, who could design it. And then they remembered Oscar Magnuson.
Now the Tobias Registry gives the tealight candleholder as a gift to the blood stem cell donors.
Oscar tells how he designed the candleholder. He also tells about his mother's blood cancer diagnosis, how it affected the whole family. Princess Christina is doing very well, has been healthy for some years already, her blood stem cell donor was a perfect match.

Designer Oscar Magnuson's gift to the Tobias registry - gives more chances
Finding donors for the Tobias registry is literally a matter of life and death. Designer Oscar Magnuson and Nicole Silverstolpe, CEO of Tobias Registry, discuss the importance of stem cell donation. Oscar's mother, Princess Christina, underwent a transplant following a blood cancer diagnosis – a decision that deeply affected the entire family. A donor from Germany gave hope in an otherwise dark period, and Oscar describes how the transplant was life-saving, the only alternative to a limited future.
Oscar Magnuson talks about the commitment to the Tobias registry - wants to pay tribute to stem cell donors, inspired by his mother's journey with blood cancer

The Tobias Registry is part of the Tobias Foundation. Victoria has been the patron of the Tobias Foundation since 1993.
