Congratulation to the young parents. Peaceful sleep in his fathers arms.

The Faber-Castell branch of the family are a collateral, but morganatic branch of the family. A product of the union of Baroness Ottilie von Faber, daughter and heiress of the wealthy Lothar freiherr Faber and Count Alexander of Castellan-Rudenhausen. The von Fabers were a newly ennobled family hence the morganatic marriage and Alexander had to renounce his succession rights, but he became a very wealthy man through the marriage. Alexander also changed his name to Faber and added Castell (his own name). A descendant of this family is Countess Floria Franziska von Faber-Castell who is married to the head of the house of Hesse, Donatus Landgraf von Hesse.
