Ya Alf mabrouk to Hashim and his WIFE (they got married not engaged),just like what Happend with Hamzah and Noor,they got married but probably the wedding ceremony will be later this year..

as for she's lucky she stole his heart,I am not so sure about this,do Saudi princesses date ?

when I read the news in english it said " engaged " but when I read it in Arabic it said " married " looooooool , but I think they can't explain in english that kind of marrige that they have now if you think about it you will see it is like engagement , because the bride still in her family houes but she can see him and talk with him ( lucky her ) .

thats what I said.but well I think she is there too now ... shes the mother.and in islam - the mother should be very important for the son - right?so for sure ph wants her to attend his marriage.
but I think when it was a planned one - it was mostly planned by king abdallah and second by queen noor.

i cannot really translate - i can only read fahdah abu niyan and prince hashem ben al hussain - well that means they married I think...

should be translated by someone who can really arabic.

we know that her mother is a well known painter in saudi arabia - you can google her ...
and thats it.i think she comes from a well educated family - thats the way her mother seemed to me in a interview.she seemed well she said shes not studied - but she seems well educated.
and fahada has two other sisters.thats what I know too.one is called nufa.

i dun understand whats the article says with year 2000 and 2005... maybe thats when they met and got engaged or so - and today or yesterday was the marriage.mh but thats only a thougt.

i understood a little of the last part of the article, it mentioned a brief record of Hashem's education, saying he graduated from Sandhurst in 2000 and from Georgetown in 2005. Part of the first part talked about Hashem's parents, and how QN came from an American-Lebanese family.... it talked about the parents of the bride too, i couldn't pick up on much else besides the name of her father....i really couldn't understand much else besides that...

I don't think that a private visit by the King and Hashem amounts to an engagement. It is still considered speculation as far as I am concerned, especially since it is not published in any source that I would consider legitimate -- the bride to be's cousin is not legitimate since she doesn't even have a name. And there is no official communication from the royal court.

The King and Hashem could've been in Saudia Arabia for a private visit for any number of reasons.

Well as a matter of fact i knew it before king abduallah arrives to Riyadh.... but i didnt write about it until he was in riyadh already and everything took place...
in arab culture if you were a king or the poorest person in the country the father or eldest brother has to go for the preposal to the girls family...
and plus i never base what i say on rumours or spectulations beleive whatever i say is based on 100% proofs athat i have but i cant always give names or say my resourses....and soon i have a new surprise and will announce it before papers....
and will be very happy to announce it

As to photos, any pic can be posted as long as it is done in accordance with the Pic Posting rules; ie credit is given for the photo source, it is not hot-linked, and unless in a current events thread it is posted using an image-hosting site such as ImageShack or Photobucket or similar.

I might be wrong about this, but I seem to remember reading that a Saudi girl needs to marry a non-Saudi Arab with the permission of her father in Saudi Arabia. Or soemthing similar, I read it in the book "Daughters of Arabia" by Jean Sassoon about the Saudi Princess "Sultana". I don't remember the exact rule and as I don't have the copy of my book with me I cannot be certain of the reasoning or even if I have remembered correctly.

I can't say I'm surprised by the news, one of my Jordanian friends has been predicting this for a while, although he suspected Hashim would marry a Qatari princess.

Either way Congratulations to Prince Hashem and Princess Fahdah, she seems to come from a well-respected/educated family and I hope they may have a long and happy life together.
