The Princes in Girona

The Princes don’t plan to travel to Catalunya with Infanta Leonor. They - and mainly Princess Letizia - defend the theory of which it is not usual to take children to work, which makes a bit difficult being able to see the girl in public, since everything the Princes do is almost work; even if there is people one who thinks that this is not a work, but a destiny, a way of life and a position in history… but that would be another subject.

According their collaborators, the Princes do not have any intention to put expose their daughter to the public curiosity. This decision has nothing to do with the small angioma (a small red spot) that the girl has in the nose, but the determined will of the parents to extend the privacy of the girl, as long as they can. Even the King and Queen (more concretely Doña Sofia) condescending with those who ask them about the reasons why the Princes don’t show their daughter. Ever since she was born, on October 31st 2005, the girl has only been seen for three occasions: when coming out of the clinic, in Lanzarote and the day of her baptism.

Leonor remains in house in Madrid. It is absurd that they travel with the girl for such a short trip, only they will be one night out of house. If they were taking her they would have to move all the things of the girl, go more bodyguard and a babysitter, and look for a place in order that the girl was while they are in the acts. It is normal that they prefer leaving the calm girl in her house with her babysitter or with someone of the family, to have it in a hotel enclosed it is better thath she will be in her house that is an environment that does not surprise. Probably to separate of her, it is hardly for the mother that for the girl.


There seem to me to be incredible the commentaries of the article that Fanletizia has translated. The press is never capable of recognizing their mistakes. The Princes behaved themselves very well with them when they went to Lanzarote and posed patiently with the girl; thing that might not have happened up to the baptism. But the place of respecting the girl, the journalists only have taken advantage of her and have done business and have created polemics on her.

- They have published, I believe that already they are 5 books on the girl or using her name ... and only she is 5 months old ¡¡¡

- In one of these books they wrote all kinds of barbarities on the birth and the health of the girl ... without being able to demonstrate anything

-They have published that the girl is going to spend for an operating room

- They have turned every appearance of the girl into a polemic for absurd things extracted of context or you fight between the own journalists

- Also they created an absurd polemic, which lasted weeks on the topic of the cells of the umbilical cord, and everything because there were political interests in the topic

Sincerely with this panorama, it is not strange that the Princes do not want to submit their daughter to the press, because the only thing that they do is to damage, and Leonor to be a baby of 5 months and the things that are done using her name they are unacceptable. The only thing that they do is to protect their daughter. If respect existed, the respect due to any child, the things would be in a different way.

Of course, lula, you're right. Sometimes the desire to see Leonor is bigger than the consciousness what is better or worse for her. I absolutely understand the Princes for not dragging the baby everywhere.

Warm welcome to Princes in Castelló before delivers of Glass

The Princes of Asturias have delivered today the Glass of the King of basketball in chair of wheels, which has been disputed in Castelló d'Empúries (Girona), in an act preceded by a warm reception of the neighborhood of the locality.
Their Royal Highnesses have come in helicopter to the airport of this population ampurdanesa about 11.30 hours and, with the official car, have moved towards the old town of the municipality.
They have visited the dependences of Castelló d'Empúries's town hall and from the balcony of the council they have greeted the persons who had approached the place.
The mayor of the municipality, Xavier Sanllehí, published on Friday a decree on the occasion of the visit of the Princes of Asturias, to invite all the neighbors ' to be testimonies of this historical event '.
Before entering the town hall, the prince Felipe and Dona Letizia have approached the public who was waiting for them in the square.
Dona Letizia dressed in a suit blue jacket cake with the trousers beige, has given special attention to the children who were waiting for her arrival and has been given a branch of flowers as official reception.
Inside the consistorial building of Castelló d'Empúries, the Princes of Astúrias they have been got for different authorities as the delegate of the Government of the Generalitat in Girona, Pia Bosch; the president of the Deputation of Girona, Carles Páramo; the president of the Consell Comarcal of L'Alt Empordá, Jordi Cabezas, and the mayor of the municipality, Xavier Sanllehí accompanied of the councilmen of the council.
To their exit, about 12 a.m., the Princes have approached again the great number of persons who were continuing in the square and this time have received of one of them a spontaneous gift consisting of a teddy bear for their daughter, the princess Leonor.
After this act, the princes have moved up to the municipal Pavilion of sports of the municipality where at 12 a.m. it has begun the game of basketball in chair of wheels of the final of the edition XXVIII of the Glass of the King.
Don Felipe and Dona Letizia have done delivery of the glass and have taken part in the ceremony of closing of this sports competition organized together by the association MIFAS and Castelló d'Empúries's Town hall.
At all time the Princes have proved to be very nice and attentive with the people who was greeting them and even when they have moved up to the center of the track to deliver the trophy to the team of ' Once Andalusia ', that has confirmed the champion's title, they have met surrounded with a good number of persons who have approached the royal couple photographies to be done.
Representatives of the MIFAS Esplais Castelló d'Empúries, the team host of the tilt, have given a vest of the team to the Prince Felipe with the number 7 and his name marked as recollection of the event.
The final has been disputed by Once Andalusia and the Vital Vigo by a result from 73 to 63..

Princes ofAsturias, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, were today the guests of honor of XXVIII the Edition of the Glass of the King of Basketball in Wheelchair and the ones in charge to give to the trophies in the ceremony of closing of the competition, celebrated in the Municipal Pavilion of Castelló d"Empúries (Girona).
The eight better Spanish equipment has gambled during three days of competition the first official title of the season, although only two could arrive at the end, in which Vital Vigo Amfiv and the ELEVEN faced Andalusia. This one last one was raised with the victory by 73 points to 62, making honor to its condition of favorite for being the winner of the three last leagues. To their arrival, the princes were received in the City council of Castelló d"Empúries and saluted to the citizens from the balcony.

Actually, it is perfectly correct to use the word "handsome" to describe a woman, it's just not that common any longer. But there was a time when it was common to use the term for a woman as well as a man. The word is not exclussive to a man, rather is suggestive of a kind of dignified attractiveness.
