Just a little question, hope someone can help me out, how tall is CP?

After years of guessing, we know it (quite) for sure. He must be between 1.72 and 1.74m (around 5'8)

has it been said how long he will be going to school
and will he do more military training

Probably 1.5 years more. I don´t know. What would you say, Josefine??

Thank you very much, for this information, i thought he would be a little bit taller. I think 1.72- 1.74 is just small for a man.
That means he is smaller than me :D

mmh, how small is Emma then?

On many pictures, she is much smaller than CP. I guess about 1.60??!

5'8" seems about right for carl philip, although i would've put him around 5'10 ish.

Both Carl Philip and the King is quite short. I would say they are around 1.75 m. And yes, Emma is probably around 1.60...

That´s right, King Carl Gustav is already not really tall :)
On photos it seems, that just all of the family Bernadotte have quite the same body hight.

Other question, does anybody know, which relationship the swedish Bernadottes have to the Bernadottes on Isle Mainau/ Germany?

Very good relations I would say. They seem to have a close contact and enjoy each other's company. Last year the Royal Family went to Mainau to celebrate the late Count Lennart's 95th birthday, and just this weekend the King and Queen attended a memorial concert there (pictures in the Family News thread).

Crap, i was there yesterday. If i knew this i would stay there for longer.

I visit Mainau for some times, very nice flowers :)
But I didn´t see anybody of the Bernadotte family.
I see there many trees where devote for family members, for birth, dead or an other reason. I really like this, its so intimate.

So nevertheless, thank you for your information, GrandDuchess

The King and Queen were on Mainau on Saturday. You can see pictures here.

I've been to Mainau too, and I agree - it's a wonderful place and really deserves it's name as "blumeninsel". That Italian staircase or whatever it was called was really great.

oh, i see on one of those pictures, that the garden gnome is ready.

I was there, when they started with this figure. And last year, when the Rhododendron was blooming.
I love this island!
There I read for the first time the name Bernadotte :)
The next time i go there, i will keep an eye on if someone of the kungafamilj will be there:p

Isn´t "Lord of Bavaria" the godfather of CP?

I found it on my own, its Prince Leopold of Bavaria :D

He is also avid in motorracing, the same way as CP, tztztz

And are there any news about CP in the press?

I´m very interested in news about him :)

Haven`t heard anything about him lately ... unfortunately! ;)

Aaah, btw, does anybody know where I can find video files of the royal family?! I already found two links somewhere in the forum, but know I cant remember where they were! Stupid me! Can anyone help me out?! Pleaaaaaaaaaase?! It was a video file with the king & queen and most importantly interviews of Victoria, C-P and Madeleine ...

Serena, try searching for "Tv", I think there´s some links to clips in that thread

CP is just a gentlemen :D

He helped his sister Madde when her skirt was flowing up by the wind.
The entered a ship named Dannebrog for a dinner, as the skirt makes its own way :D , so CP has to help his sister and hold down the skirt.

--> Gentlemen :rolleyes:

Hello every1 i'm new to this thread. Just want to say how gorgeous i think P carl is. What is he doing @the mo? Is he @university? Just want some info..

Hello Amina, late but not to late I hope.

Yes Carl Philip studies.
During 1984- 86, Prince Carl Philip attended the Västerled parish preschool. In the autumn of 1986, he started school at Smedslättsskolan in Bromma which he attended at junior level. For the intermediate level, the Prince attended Ålstensskolan in Bromma, proceeding from there, in the autumn of 1992, to senior level at Enskilda Gymnasiet in Stockholm. In the autumn of 1994 Prince Carl Philip enrolled at Kent, a private school in Conneticut, where he spent two years. The Prince then continued his studies in a science programme at Lundsberg upper secondary school. He graduated in the spring of 1999.

The Prince completed his military service at the Amphibious Batallion at Vaxholm´s Coast Artillery Regiment as a combat boat commander (Combat Boat 90) in the autumn of 2000. In December 2002, the Prince was promoted to fänrik (second Lieutnant) in the Royal Swedish Navy.

With a great interest for design and drawing, the Prince began studying Graphic Design in Stockholm in 2003, studies which he continues still.

Thank you for the link, Kiwian!

From this forum:
Hmmm, so is the prince the scruffy lookin' guy with the ball cap?

 :D "scruffy"...tztztztztz...well, when one complains about Daniel´s trucker hats, then one has to be consistent and has to complain about CP´s hat as well (even though a trucker cap does always mean a higher grade of bad taste)

I guess Mixer and me wouldn´t mind to test such a wroom-wroom as well. Usually he would now make a little teasing misogynic statement. But I guess Mixer (the guy with the top graded diploma thesis!) is today in a too good mood for such things ;)

Just a reminder - Prince Carl Philip was appointed Lieutenant in December 2004. But it seems the Royal Court's website profiles aren't up to date on these things.

I believe that Carl Philip has graduated from school. Where does he work now?
