I thought it was lovely that after William and Kate finished speaking with the first responders and the first responders had left the garden, Kate asked where they’d gone and went in to give them hugs because she could tell how emotional their talk had been for all of them. I love hearing little details like that from the participants.

I also love the fact that her appearance was not announced to the media in advance, which allowed both her and the families to have a very good visit without any added pressure.
