The Prince looks charming as does C Deneuve at sixty seven years of age.I wonder if they are friends.

And even if they were not friends, the encounter must be beneficial for both!

Catherine Deneuve is a stunning woman. But it is such a pity that she has lots of work done on her face while she was praised to be the epitome of the natural beauty. I rather admire women who are aging gracefully.

Swiss bid to fly around the world on solar energy at the military airport in
Payerne, Switzerland, Monday, May 24, 2010.

The Solar Impulse project aims to circumnavigate the world with an aircraft,
with a 63.40 metres wingspan, powered only by solar energy.

I always check the "Ordonnances Souveraines" because it's actually quite interesting and telling to see PA's actions in regard of his people and governmental teams.

I have to confess that the Ministerial Decrees don't quite have the same effect......

Yes, it's an aircraft carrier (un porte-navires).

Pa must have asked for a special visit because the aircraft carrier is being taken out of service - today!

Its name "Jeanne d'Arc" is the same as "Joan of Arc".

Yesterday, May 28, Prince Albert received the Ambassador of the
Democratic Republic of Timor Leste Joaquim Antonio Maria Lopes
da Fonseca (pic 1) and the of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr.
Nurlan Danenov (pic 2 right). They presented their credentials
and afterwards attended private audiences with Prince Albert.

excellent proposal- but easier proposed than done apparently;perhaps a dubious position to have filled; I do not know anymore
this baffles and confounds me as well;
If PA "Was Into Her "{Miss Wittsock} that would have happened already-and the position filled long ago. Pa would have gone to Sa and asked her dad for her hand in marriage.I fear this may play out like Callas with Onassis ; it went on and on without marriage until he turned around and married somebody else{Jackie} one October's eve...

It seems a cool event. Is it organized fist time? Today is June 1st, International Kid's Day. So, I wonder if it is event for children. I see some kids in pictures, so maybe that's it.

It's the sixth edition of that event. Intensive farming, overfishing,
deforestation, excessive energy expenditure are themes/problems
the event wants to make aware of, generally not only towards
children but this year they are in a special focus. So according to
the article school children from Monaco, France and Italy will attend
days of special events and activities suitable for children - themes
like "why should we separate the waste?" "How do we repot our
plants?", "What are recycled materials?" and other similar themes..

Albert attended the centenary of the Institute of Human Paleontology
that was established and financed by his great-grandfather Prince
Albert I. During the ceremony Albert also handed out five "Prince Rainier
III of Monaco" scholarships to specialists from different regions of the
world to encourage them in their work on the prehistory of Human
Paleontology and Quaternary Geology.

Hello,
it's a new pic about yesterday. The prince gives a price. He distributed some. I am sorry for the quality of pictures. It was the opening ceremony of symposium. Then came lunch : jar of peas, salmon, berries, juices, champagne ... He was there from 10.00 to 14.15. He smiled and greeted the people and spoke with (officials and guests) and it seemed a little tired. There must have been 50 or 70.

As Guest of honour Prince Albert attended the inauguration of
the center of the International Union for Conservation of Nature
(IUCN), Gland, Switzerland, June 4, 2010. Albert stressed the
value of this exemplary sustainable building.
