Iceflower, the Debré event is also in the "Pss. Caroline and the Prince Pierre Foundation" :)

That explains it all :D While translating from French to
English I had been wondering where on earth I had read or
heard that name before..Thanks! :)

:rose:oh so the Debre` is the same as Pss. Grace Foundation! It's one of the favorites of our's as they really do work tirelessly to provide things for children. PA is one of the few royals whom is a 'hands on' royal whom works within his own Country for more than just the Public Relations he's required to deal with laws and the actual governance of Monaco. So it's for certain his playboy reputation really doesn't reflect all the facets of PA or Monaco:heartflower:

Glistening Seas

:tea: While the rest of us are looking forward to the Spring thaw (finally) meanhwile PA being the true snow lover that he is --is still hanging out of the slopes. And; looking quite great at it i might add too great color for his ski suit. It was surprising he didn't get a trophy on this because he's a really good all around athlete. The dinner pics were quite tastefully done! :heartflower:

Prince Albert attended the 1/4 final of "la Coupe de France
2009/2010" at the Stade Louis II, Monaco, March 24, 2010.

:ROFLMAO:Albert don't look very happy, his team must been losing.:whistling:

I love, LOVE how the Grimaldis are soccer fans. Their facial expressions, the movements they do... seriously, I love them. Is like it makes them more real, more 'common'.

:hellokitty: Pa has the 'look' of a man deep-in-thought! hee!

:rose: You're right by the intent look on his face and body posturing standing in the next pic it must have been a pretty close play that was going on in the game. the second pics is my fav!:heartflower:

I've made a little research for you and found out that the
AS Monaco played against the FC Sochaux and although
Albert's face expressions has led to another impression ;)
Monaco has won with 4:3!

Yesterday Prince Albert joined by live telecast the "State of the
Planet 2010" conference in New York, March 25, 2010.

State of the Planet 2010 brings together some of the world's most
influential and innovative thinkers and leaders in a wide range of fields
to address critical issues facing the world. Panelists and attendees
from Beijing, New Delhi, London and Nairobi, are directly linked to
the international debate, moderated from New York.

The live telecast was made during Albert's visit at the 'Ever Monaco'

PA looks on as his new "Ministre d'État" (Minister of State) Michel Roger signs the necessary papers. He succeeded Jean-Paul Proust.

This is the first time that the Minister of State has been freely chosen by a Prince of Monaco. Previously, France had most of the say.....

The "new man" sees himself like the conductor of an orchestra, rather than a soloist.
Sounds good...

Under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II, the International Dog Show will take place on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th April at Fontvieille.
This year there is a special exhibition of about the Australian Shepherd Dog and the White Swiss Shepherd Dog, and over 170 canine races from 15 countries will be on show.

It's Tana Umaga! In pic three - in New Zealand they call him "the man with dreadlocks for a hat". It's good to see Albert out and about, enjoying some down time - sort of. Thanks for the pics Ice! :D

On Thursday April 1st, Prince Albert's Councillor for Foreign Affairs signed one more accord on fiscal transparency, this time with Australia.

Just to recap: Monaco signed 12 accords to get on the "white list" of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development).

Since then, it has achieved four more accords, with Argentina, the Seychelles, the Netherlands, and now Australia.

Negotiations are almost concluded for yet another accord, this time with Germany. Franck Biancheri said that Prince Albert has stressed, for over a year, the importance of an accord with Germany which, with France and the US, is a "politically very important" partner.

For Monaco, the next target is 25 states.....by July.....negociations are under way with Finland, Denmark, and Sweden (EU) plus Norway, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroes (non EU).

Each country partitipating in this process is being watched over by the OECD - Monaco is being supervised by a Canadian and an Indian who will write a report in 2010.

PA will travel to Lisbon on April 9th, 2010, where he will be welcomed by the president of the Portuguese Republic, M. Anibal Cavaco Silva.

The two heads of state will have talks on a variety of matters, e.g. economic and cultural exchanges, tourism development, international cooperation, environment, humanitarian assistance in Africa etc.

PA will then travel to the Azores for talks with the government of that territory.

On Saturday there will be a special visit to the "Observatoire de Météorologie et the Sismologie Prince Albert Ier" - founded by his great-grandad who, between 1885 and 1913, had close links with the king Don Carlos of Portugal.

Monaco has been funding the improvements of the observatory, following the quake in 1998.

Further state visits by PA this month:

London, April 14th to 16th

Moscow, April 21st to 23rd

Lovely pictures from both Iceflower and Elsa M. !

The palace is very imposing, and I liked the image of Maria, the President's wife, talking with PA.

No photos in Azores?
It's a pity that it wasn't a longer visit and that the Prince only visited the Palace...
Thanks for the photos and info, btw :flowers:

I had also been surprised not to have seen more, but finally
here are some pics from the Azores as well :)

Prince Albert at Faial island, Portuguese island of the Azores,
April 9 and 10, 2010. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that
good.

On pic 5 Albert poses in front of a photo of his great-great-
grandfather Albert I, founder of the Weather Observatory in
Horta city.

The Final of the Coupe de France will take place on Saturday May 1st at the Stade de France, Saint-Denis, Paris.

Good luck to AS Monaco - they haven't played a final at Saint-Denis since 2003 !

At the moment it's tennis that fascinates Albert ;) The Monte
Carlo Tennis Masters tournament takes place from April 10 to
18.

Prince Albert II of Monaco watches the semifinal match of the
Monte Carlo Tennis Masters tournament in Monaco between
Fernando Verdasco of Spain and Novak Djokovic of Serbia,
Saturday, April 17, 2010.

The lady next to him is Cristiana Crociani, sister of Princess
Camilla of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro.

Mélanie de Lusignan attended as well.

Pic Two is priceless !!

I went through the Belga pics, but no pic of Mélanie.....

I'm sorry for that little confusion, Renata4711! The pic I
had seen and mentioned isn't included in the gallery link
I've posted, I hadn't been aware of that! Here it is:
