Victoria said in her speech in Strömsholm among other things:
I can imagine that it was just the expectation that my grandfather, Prince Gustaf Adolf, felt when he started 90 years ago at the army riding and driving school here at Strömsholm.
A place where people have worked with horses since Gustav Vasa's time. And where we have today opened the first horse museum in the Nordic region!
For almost a whole year my grandfather spent here, as a student of what was called "Long Course". Here he got an intensive education in various riding disciplines - and, of course, many opportunities to compete.
For a horse-interested 22 year old, it must have been pure dream (...)
Just like at my grandfather's day, Strömsholm is currently populated by people who are passionate about horses and equestrian sports. I think it had been a pleasure for him to see that the tradition continues so strongly.
Because it does! And not only here, but throughout our country.
Riding is today Sweden's second largest youth sport and one of the largest sports for people with disabilities. It is open to boys and girls, men and women, younger and older on equal terms. This is one of the few sports where participants compete in the same classes regardless of gender or age.(...)
Sweden today is a country of peace, prosperity and democracy.
A country where everyone has access to our nature.
A country where fundamental rights and freedoms are respected.
All of this has characterized Sweden for a long time. It has formed us living here and it's really not that weird if we take it for granted.
It does not change the fact that it's a big advantage to live right here and right now.
Let's value that benefit! Let's celebrate it. Today - and every other day.
Thank you to all who are here today for your dedication. And thanks for your help to make your national day a nice feast.
I wish you all the joy of celebrating our Sweden! Thank You!

King Carl Gustaf said in his speech in Skansen among other things:
We all have a place in Sweden where we feel the most at home, where we can say that "This - it's my Sweden!".
Today, I would like to say something about a place in our country that is particularly close to my heart. And it is actually where we are at the moment: Skansen, and the surrounding Royal Djurgården, here in Stockholm.(...)
I remember how exciting it was to come here when I was little. How I walked around looked at the animals and at different cultural buildings. And I already knew that this was my country, my Sweden, that I wanted to live and work in.
