Its very strange that the Prince pulled out of attending and more so seeing as he had also missed his Godfathers Funeral also!
I had that thought as well. As much as I have a deep disdain for Andrew, and hate how front and center he appeared today, I just don't see William using a memorial service to make such a statement. Also, if the PoW was there, he would have been front and center leading the BRF to the chapel and Andrew would have shied away into the group. The cynic in me says the "personal matter" is his uncle's attendance and not wanting to be in the same room with him, but that's how I'd feel if it were me.
And they bot attended Christmas Service last year. So when it was no Problem to be seen at the same Event then Andrew why suddenly now.I had that thought as well. That's an excellent point. So this "personal matter" must be something else. With so much happening in the BRF right now I can't imagine the reason would be something petty. And they bot attended Christmas Service last year. My thoughts exactly. William was not only scheduled to attend, but to give a reading. It was a last minute pull out. It was a high profile event. I don’t think that pulling out was a decision he’d make lightly. I just respect that something happened, and I don’t need to know what it was.I can think of several very valid reasons for William to have to send his apologies at such short notice. It’s really unfortunate that this was such a high profile engagement that would be bound to attract this extent of public attention. In my opinion we should not be questioning the decision but respecting the difficulty under which such judgement was made .
We do not know the reason and neither do you so maybe we should hold fire on comments especially unfavourable ones, until there is more information. Also he is not about to become either prince regent or King as far as we know.Do you guys think he's ready to become Prince Regent or King, when he can't turn up at a memorial service literally at his doorstep?
I highly doubt it. He can't handle much, that's the vibe I get from him.
We do not know the reason, and to assume it has anything to do with anything you have proposed is conjecture.I think that being such prominent figure within BRF -Heir to the Throne- means that sometimes it's obligatory to pull out personal feelings and simply attend an official gathering such as today's service for late king Constantin. The king was a godfather to prince Wiliam (who didn't neither bother to attend his funeral) and if frail Lady Pamela Mountbaten or princess Irene of Greece could attend why not a healthy man in his forties? Unless being very sick he should dedicate one hour to meet and respecte his relatives and other people who DID bother to attend. From Kingdom of Jordany 3 people were present, the Danmark was represented. And even, if I saw correctly, the prince of Bade was present. But the heir who lives in the proximity of Windsor Castle wasn't present. And excuses such as potential sickness of nanny or person who was supposed to take care of Princess of Wales are simply weak.... The Windsors can afford 10 nannies or nurses... The funerals or comememorative services are not to be " repeated " because somebody didn't attend them.... So it will always be remembered that prince Wiliam was absent during such important family gathering....
Yes I do . Very much in fact. I can't think of anyone more suitable really.Do you guys think he's ready to become Prince Regent or King, when he can't turn up at a memorial service literally at his doorstep?

Yes. I believe that Prince William is more than ready to assume his future role.Do you guys think he's ready to become Prince Regent or King, when he can't turn up at a memorial service literally at his doorstep?
