I already explained why Charles wasn’t there so that is that. As to why Will and Kate weren’t there, I can’t say. Most other royal families had the Sovereign him/herself attending and if the monarch was not able to attend (for example, Norway - most likely due to health), they sent their heirs - in addition to either monarch or heir, several families had other family members accompanying them (for example princess Beatrix (a former monarch), princess Christina for Sweden and princess Märtha Louise for Norway). The UK did neither, so yes, Anne is a 'lesser royal' compared to primary delegate of the other royal delegations in that she is neither the monarch nor the heir.

Someone should have told the newest member of the family to wear a SKIRT . I believe she was the only one in pants. She never seems to get her clothes right—expensive yes, but often all wrong.

Where’s this idea that they think highly of themselves? I don’t believe it has anything to go with the Empire which they know no longer exists. How do they think are better than everyone else? The fact that someone close to the family attended is good in my eyes. It's the Windsor exceptionalism, probably a remainder of the British Empire mindset.
They still think they are above everyone else.
I can understand why KCIII didn't attend but the fact that the PoW didn't go (being KC's godson and a godfather to the new heir) was inexcusable.
I think Anne was a good choice because she has a close connection to Constantine in terms of age, then being part of IOC, and she’s a prominent royal. The fact that someone like that attended is good IMHO and I will leave it at that. You questioned why Anne was a lesser royal. I provided an explanation. This was not about whether Charles should have attended, elsewhere I already stated that I think a representation by William would have been the best course of action. Nonetheless, I am sure they appreciated those that did attend.

Seeing that Charles was meeting today with the president of Cyprus, it's perfectly clear that he couldn't have attended, even if he'd wanted to. To cancel the Cypriot president in order to go to the deposed king of Greece's funeral would have been a major diplomatic slight.
Don't forget, the same Greek junta that overthrew Constantine was involved in the coup in Cyprus that led to Turkish invasion and years of upheaval.
Princess Anne is the daughter of a Prince of Greece & Denmark, plus a bridesmaid at Constantine and Anne-Marie's wedding, a good choice.
Lady Gabriella Kingston is the granddaughter of a Princess of Greece & Denmark.
Both good choices. But it would have been good for W&K to have gone too considering the other Royals who went, and of course W being the godfather of the Crown Prince Pavolos's eldest son.

No, I have not seen that thread. [emoji846]You know the comment was meant for only one of the grandchildren that was all over the news on the other thread.
In the video if the arrival at the Metropolis we see Pc Christian and his wife and behind them is walking a blond lady who looked like Princess Ekaterina. I saw just a glimpse. Not sure which picture of Christian with a blond lady you referred to but Christian arrived with his Peruvian (dark haired) wife. I assume his brother Ernst August also arrived with his wife given that others state that he attended, so I must have missed that picture - but yes, his wife is blond. They left yesterday's dinner together, so clearly both are/were in Greece.
One thing that this sad occasion cleared up for me is the status of Matthew Kumar within the tightly knit GRF. Any suspicions I had that the family hasn't fully accepted him are history.
There he was at Tatoi early on inspecting the late king's burial site with Constantine's sisters.
He seems very much at ease in their midst and has apparently also embraced the Orthodox faith as another poster pointed out.
I am not sure that he and Theo will marry in the spring due to the mourning period for her father, but perhaps it will be before the end of the year(hopefully).
CP Pavlos conducted himself throughout the entire day with great presence, respect and dignity. I'd never really had much of an opinion of him before, but he clearly would have made his father proud today.

It would be helpful if you included the link to the picture you are talking about as I've only seen a picture of Christian and his wife Alessandra (as well as pictures of EA and Ekatarina leaving yesterday's dinner) - and the previous poster to whom I responded only mentioned one blond lady.
