I'm not German, but as far as I can make it out the headline says 'Luxury scandal' and continues to say that the beloved and picture-pretty dream princess is facing still more criticism for her lifestyle. And asks how long she will be able to cope with it (leisten? withstand it - sorry not sure about this).Lady Jean said:Are you referring to the last cover posted? What does the cover in post 39 or its article say about Mary?
I think this particular story started in winter or so, in tabloid Extrabladet, and has made it's way around the globe, pretty much - with Mary being compared to Imelda Marcos here and there... It's cucumber season - when you don't have anything new to write - you find something from older sources, or you make it up based on thin so-called evidence.UserDane said:I'm not German, but as far as I can make it out the headline says 'Luxury scandal' and continues to say that the beloved and picture-pretty dream princess is facing still more criticism for her lifestyle. It's industrial holidays in Nothern Europe now - the royals are lying low as far as the media are concerned. In a week or two, the most far-fetched stories about them will probably begin to surface in DK as well - anything to make the rags sell!
You're welcome.Lady Jean said:Thank you very much everyone explaining the "news" story.

You're welcome.
Since it is the 'silly season' we should perhaps start a thread about the most stupid and self-invented stories the magazines will present to their readers in the coming weeks!
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=120323Kidman terrific for 'Playboy': Hefner
She may be nearly 40, but Nicole Kidman would be Hugh Hefner's top pick of Australians to feature in international men's mag Playboy.
And what of Australia's own Princess Mary?
Hefner's deemed her "too ladylike" for the magazine he founded in a candid interview with New Idea magazine
She looks like a nice woman, but this outfit isn't sexy at all," Hefner said, referring to a recent photo of Princess Mary.

...it's about mary being a "fashion dictator" and a minority of danes are trying to "push her out of denmark". this minority of people have also spread some rumours that cp frederick is resorting back to his "old ways" (cp frederick is currently in the u.s. [competition thingy]). a couple of paragraphs are about her visit last week to a "ghetto" place in denmark (i saw the coverage of it on channel 10 news last week, at night. the kids absolutly adore her and mary is really nice. i have no idea how some people in denmark could do that to her. ha, i guess i'm not helping much by writing what the article is about.). says that hhp alexandra worked alot harder at her charity work than what mary does now. it also says that the danes think that amber petty is a pig lady and is an unsuitable person to be a friend of a future queen (i was listening to the fox (local radio in australia) and they had amber petty on the phone this morning and she said that its a realy nasty magazine in denmark (making these reports about mary) worse than NW. she said that the mag in denmark was trying to get channel seven to release some pics/footage of her holding a pig but ch 7 wouldn't agree. then they pretty much joked for about 3 minutes about a spring fashion show in melbourne [ and then i had to leave and go to school ].flctylu said:This weeks new issue of Woman's Day
this week is going to be busy so whenever i have time i'll write a bit on what the article is about, but judging by the cover, it's about some evil plan that people in denmark are coming up with to drive mary out of denmark. sounds crazy . unless someone else would like to write a bit about the article

Princess Mary betrayed: enemies in the palace shatter her fairytale
Princess Mary has been betrayed by a group of spiteful critics who are determined to undermine her position in Denmark. Palace insiders say she is heartbroken by vicious claims that her husband, Prince Frederik, is doing more than just sailing in America. Forced to flee Denmark for America to be by her husband's side, friends say it's no wonder the princess dreams of what it would be like to come home and have a normal life.

madeleine victoria said:If Mary is reading these magazines I think she'll go mad. Negative articles are sometimes the biggest factor in contributing to broken relationships. I'm not saying that Fred is cheating on her but these kind of articles I think can dampen their relationship since they are public figures. No matter how they try to ignore these stories, it will haunt them.. That's just the way tabloid stories are.
