Yes, those two should get together. Theodora and William. That would be a great match. Wow. Touching her hair too. A sure sign indeed. Yes, Victoria and Felipe. A friendly pair in the past. Victoria got the stare!
 
Also while the Windsor men of late did not have much success with women from an aristocratic background, Theodora would be different. First of all, she is a royal. Second of all, I seem to recall her being rather studious. This is good. I mean she probably is not the fashion wearer that Diana was. Big on clothes and the parties and everything but while she may be just as much fun of Fergia, she would know the protocol of a lot to begin with and know the appropiate behavior for the occasion.
 
But whomever William picks will have to be able to take the media and the attention well. She will have so much coverage. She will have to be well-prepared. Or learn quickly.

Alas a few things
- on nrk.no the transmission was suddenly in black and white and stayed that way = did this happen to one or more of the other viewers at that time
- the transmission was interrupted due to technical difficulty, as near as I could make out = again, did this happen to one or more of the other viewers at that time ?
- I didn't find out where the illustrious couple was going on their honeymoon (because I had a job to attend to) ?

They are going to Jordan so they can be there at the time of the upcoming celebration of the wedding.
 
For the life of me I cannot figure out who the "mystery man" is with Carl Phillip and Madeline in all the pictures of the siblings going to the church. At first I thought it was Guillaume of Luxembourg with his beard still but then I saw pictures of him with his parents and the beard gone, and still no idea who this young man is and why he was with the Swedish siblings.

Can anyone please place him for me?

A cousin of Letizia's? A distant sibling of the Borbon family? Someone in the Spanish court playing matchmaker for Madeline?

Prince William not attend state Royal wedding he not have official engagement yet! after he finished college in Scotland first his dad the Prince of Wales said that he would attend State trip and State Royal Wedding.

Surpring that they invited a distant cousin (okay, nephew of the King of Sweden) of the wedding yet none of Benedikte of Denmark's children, namely Gustav who partied with Frederik, Felipe and Nikolaos in Australia when Frederik met Mary. (Or was Gustav busy entertaining bridesmaid Amber Petty this weekend and declined the wedding invite? ;) )

Or is there a relationship with the Magnusson's and Felipe that I don't know about?

Well, he has attended events before with the siblings. He was Victoria´s escort to the banquet before the wedding of Märtha Louise. Don´t know of any connection between he and Felipe. His aunt Birgitta lives on Mallorca so maybe they met there once. But I just think it was because he is close to his cousins.

It amazes me how King Juan Carlos has invited every royal and nonroyal (witness the Russia rep) "under the sun".

This, imo, speaks volumes of his diplomacy.

I stayed up until about 02.00 last night when technical difficulties and tiredness compelled to convince me to go to bed.

I am reminded that I remember staying up until 03.00 to witness the whole wedding of Prince Charles and Diana on a TV where it truly took a magician's touch to discern the blizzard as the appropriate image, at the Rooster Inn in Ft St John of all places.

Back then, I don't recall that the guests were quite as numerous as they were yesterday in Madrid.
 
Yes, indeed Marie-Astrid is the older sister of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg. She is pictured here with her husband Carl-Christian of Habsburg. I also saw on the guestlist that the younger sister, Princess Margaretha of Liechtenstein and her husband, Nikolaus were also present. Are there any pics of those two?

I gather the wedding occurred 1 day after Spain withdrew its troops from Iraq. ;)

in my opinion that was a really horrible attitute from the united states. the war has nothing to be with the spanish monarchy and as they have always had a very good relation under the past government it would have been correct that they send at least a member of bush's government, as nearly all the countries in america did.
 
I agree with Liv on this one. Theodora loved imo better then Letizia! ^_^
 
I don't think that is why bush or a rep didn't go.
Bush is a high terrorist target since the war. I don't see anything wrong with what bush did.
