Alexander Fraser (*1990), son of Katharine Fraser, Mistress of Saltoun (*1957) - granddaughter of Princess Patricia of Connaught and heir to the lordship of Saltoun - and her husband Mark Nicolson (*1954), is engaged to Chloe Gillespie.

Alexander has the last name Fraser as he is second in line to the lordship of Saltoun and chiefdom of Clan Fraser, which requires the holder to have the clan's surname.

Both are reportedly the first of their siblings to marry.

The couple are at least third cousins, being descended in the same degree from Conrad of Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfurst (1863-1918) and Franziska of Schonborn-Buchheim (1866-1937). There might be a closer relationship I haven't found yet.

So sorry to hear. The fact that she is the daughter of the former South African president might suggest this is somewhat of a politically motivated marriage (by the future groom and father of the bride).
