I totally agree. I had the pleasure of being accredited as press for the Victoriadagen concert and for the meet and greet at Solliden the next day. My first visit to Sweden. Here are my photos which I hope everyone will enjoy

Crown princess Victoria wore the "kolt", which famous seamstress Lena Persson sewed before the Sami Parliament's opening in 2009, when she today participated in the opening of the Sami Parliament in Östersund.
Lena Persson's daughter with her closest says it is an honor that the Crown Princess chose to wear the kolt today.
- How happy I am to hear it. It is a very beautiful kolt that I am very proud to wear. It's a very nice gift, and I had the chance to meet the amazing seamstress who made it, says the Crown Princess.
How is it to be here today?
- It's very strong to be here. We have heard many strong speeches and nice yoiks. I have really enjoyed it.
Earlier, the court had announced that no one from the royal house could attend the opening ceremony. But last week, new message came from the court.
- We had the opportunity to look at the program and sometimes there are opportunities for a change, and I'm very happy that we could come here. It was a few years ago, it's fun to be here.
Crown Princess Victoria says it's important for her to strengthen the Sami.
- Whatsoever to talk about the rich country we have. What we have to offer and it constitutes our country and there, the Samis are very important and big part with their culture and all they contribute, the Crown Princess concludes.

There was a long sitting in the Mid Sweden University in Östersund when Crown Princess Victoria attended the opening of the Sami Parliament. From 10 o'clock to just after 13 - without a break.
Almost as long Matilda, 3, waited outside. Her father has been elected to the Sami Parliament. But Matilda's focus wasn't at congratulating her father, but to meet Crown Princess Victoria.
- How nice you look! We have almost identical belts, Victoria said when she met Matilda outside the doors.
Victoria asked a lot of questions from little Matilda who didn't show any shyness at all - but told about the companions in preschool and how it is to turn years.
On Friday Matilda is four years old.
- Oh! A whole year more! Do you know what, I have a girl who is five years old, said Victoria and showed the number of years with her fingers.
- Her name is Estelle. You know what? I'll tell Estelle that I met you. That I met an awesome girl called Matilda and that she will turn four years on Friday.
Before Victoria went to a quick lunch, Matilda and Grandma Sigrid asked if people could come and visit at the Crown Princess family home at Haga Palace.
- Yes! You can come and visit there, said Victoria with a smile.

Pardon my ignorance, who is the black (?)lady accompanying CP Victoria. I was under the impression that the Sami people were not immigrants but native Swedes.

I think this is a great idea. A different sort of Eriksgata which the king and queen are doing. And very much in connection of what Victoria and Daniel promote with their Foundation and Generation Pep.
During the fall of 2017, Victoria launches a series of hikes through Sweden's landscape. With the hikes, Victoria wants to experience different parts of Sweden during different seasons, as well as to see that Swedish nature is for all those who live and work there.
The hiking starts in September 2017 and will be carried out in the next few years. The county administrative boards in interaction with the local community will play an important part in designing visits.
Each landscape is visited during a day where Victoria walks to experience a part of Sweden's uniquely accessible and varied nature. Victoria wishes also to increase the value of outdoor life and movement in connection with this project through Sweden.
Victoria and Daniel have visited many of Sweden's provinces together.
Margareta Thorgen to Expressen:
- This was something that Crown Princess Victoria began to think about a year ago, when we planned the arrangements around her 40th birthday. It was a wish she had - to have the opportunity to visit all Sweden's landscapes with a focus on outdoor life and active movement.
The purpose of the hikes, which will be arranged over a day by landscape, is to showcase Sweden's nature.
- The Crown Princess wants to visualize the treasure that Swedish nature is. All who live and work in our country can experience it and through landscape hikes she wants to highlight it, said Margareta Thorgren.
Victoria's and the court's idea is that the 25 hikes should be carried out for a period of about two to three years.
- It is 25 days spread over different months and seasons. It should also go hand in hand with the official duties and other commitments that the Crown Princess has during the year.
The first hike takes place next Saturday in Västergötland, which is Crown Princess Victoria's Duchy. Victoria, among other things, visits the Varnhems monastery area and then walks along the pilgrim trail along the mountain Billingen. The walk ends at Hornborgasjön.
- The Crown Princess has been looking forward to initiating these hikes for a long time. The hope is that more people see Sweden's amazing nature and thus appreciate and be careful about nature, said Thorgren.

Victoria attended today at the meeting of Crown Princess Margareta's Veteran Reserve Foundation, she is the chairman of the Foundation. Hopefully the court puts an article about this to their website.
Victoria's calendar was just updated: On Saturday 16th September she comes to Finland, to see Opera Höstsonaten (Autumn Sonata) on the occasion of Finland's 100th anniversary at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki. Autumn Sonata is a new Finnish opera, the meeting of a story by cinema legend Ingmar Bergman and the music of Sebastian Fagerlund, one of the most highly acclaimed Finnish composers of his generation. The role of Charlotte has been specially composed for swedish mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter. This is the first time Von Otter has been seen on the Finnish National Opera stage.
On 18th October Victoria attends at a seminar due to Finland 100 years at Riksdagen, swedish Parliament.

Hanaholmen Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre and Svenska Kulturfonden invited Victoria and Daniel to Opera Höstsonaten (Autumn Sonata) on the occasion of Finland's 100th anniversary at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki on 16th September. Hanaholmen's ceo Gunvor Kronman has met Victoria before and describes her as a gorgeous woman. Victoria and Daniel have decided that only Victoria comes to Helsinki. Victoria has been invited by Hanaholmen Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre and Svenska Kulturfonden (The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland).

The finnish press tells that people can see Victoria in Helsinki only by a glimpse. Victoria comes to the Opera (starting at 18.00) by car straight from the airport. She doesn't move elsewhere in Helsinki, and goes by car.
- She is brought to the opera door where she goes in, says Maria Romantschuk, programme director of the Hanaholmen Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre.
There may be the only chance of seeing the prinsess.
- She just comes out of the car and goes into the opera, Romantschuk says.
The media can photograph the crown princess shortly in the opera, but she doesn't give interviews.

Iltasanomat tells that according to the information they have got, there will be a small event after the opera, in which attend in addition to Victoria the hosts of the visit, ambassador Anders Ahnlid and the main performers of the opera. Iltasanomat also highlights that Victoria uses regular flights, and that is why she returns to Sweden on Sunday, not today.

Victoria arrived to Finnish National Opera in Helsinki with ambassador Anders Ahnlid and her aide-de-camp colonel Lena Persson-Herlitz. Victoria was first welcomed by Päivi Kärkkäinen, the general director of Finnish National Opera. Inside she was welcomed by the hosts of the evening, Gunvor Kronman, the ceo of Hanaholmen Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre and Stefan Wallin, the Chairman of Svenska Kulturfonden (The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland).
The finnish press tells that Victoria was joyful and happy as usual and didn't mind the rain. She waved to the people who had waited for her outside the Opera. She noticed the that there was a lot of press. The press praises Victoria's outfit as extremely stylish and just the right choice for an evening at the Opera. The security was strict at the Opera.

- Great for Victoria to showcase Swedish design as often as she actually does when she travels abroad. She matches a floral skirt from Camilla Thulin gorgeously with a powdery blouse from Daisy Grace. Both the a-line dress and the details of the sleeves feel right.
- This is actually not the first time Victoria carries exactly this outfit. Last we saw it when the Danish Crown Prince couple was visiting Stockholm this spring. Great that it is recycled!

This was a short visit, so it wasn't planned for months, but still there are many things to notice. Victoria had her own bodyguards, but also the finnish police secured her visit. Kronman tells that she talked with Victoria a few times during the visit, about the opera and also other things. Kronman tells that they discussed about icehockey and the World Championships in Denmark.

The opera performance (Höstsonaten) is not happy, but it is a fantastic and artistic entity. The princess was impressed. Mother-daughter relationship and father-child relationship touch universally everyone, Kronman describes.
After the opera, the evening continued in nice and relaxed event at the Swedish Embassy. Among the dinner guests were renowned Finnish artists with whom Victoria was talking unrestrainedly during the evening.
- The Crown Princess met Finnish writers and musicians, as well as key political figures, said Kronman, adding that Victoria also had a lot of people on her own age to talk with.
Crown Princess sat at dinner with Joachim Thibblin, the director of Svenska Teatern and Leif Jakobsson, the director of Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland. Free conversation was held in swedish the whole evening.
