And once again...
I have the same shirt since more than five years...
Take a look at this photo:

It is so funny...

Another funny story: This time it is not ME, who have the same shirt... My mum has it (in grey) and she wears it with black pants. And I bought today grey pants at H&M (and I didn't know that Crownprincess Mary has grey pants, too...)

I really like her top, it's very elegant. The pants are from a suit she wore a while back. I especially like how her jewelry subtly ties the outfit together with the black and white pearls.

I asked myself more than one time: Is it her wedding- or engagement-ring she wears at her necklace?

Princess Mary likes very mucht also Hugo Boss clothes!!
She looks nice with that black dress very very elegant and natural and simple!

i am not keen on the way mary has brought this outfit together the suit is nice and very smart which is needed because it is the opening of the danish parliament but why does she insist on mismatching her bags, shoes and hat each one is a different colour from the siut and they do not match at all :bang::bang:

Mary never seems to be able to match her outfit to her shoes, handbag or hat it is really annoying :bang::bang:

Hmmm - I think the is able to pull off a really good general impression most of the time - that she is one of the best at it actually. I don't feel that a handbag and shoes in identical colour for example is absolutely necessary for conveying a good general impression clotheswise.

I think mactching outfit to shoes, handbags and hats makes the hole person look dull. Using different colours makes an outfit lively. I like Marys outfit:flowers:

I always thought she had a head made for hats :) I love seeing Mary and Maxima in wide-brimmed hats for example. IMO, they both carry them so well.

I agree. Didn't she also wear this suit to an engagement with Queen Margrethe once?

I actually think that Mary has one of the better faces for hats. Maxima and Mary pull off hats the best while Mette-Marit prefers and IMO looks better in headpieces. Mathilde seems to go for odd looking hats that she usually pulls off. We haven't seen Letizia in a proper hat so it's hard to say and Victoria never really tries with her hats so it's hard to judge there also.
Mary's outfit for Parliament is alright. I'm not sure why the flower's there, it doesn't brighten up the outfit at all. Then again, the DRF never look too happy at Parliament, they only seem to truly smile when they enter and exit. There's one picture of Margrethe and Henrik nodding off!

I watched some of it on TV, and the flower actually looked good in live pictures. I thought the colour of Marys outfit was rather in line with the "dresscode" for this event.

No they don't:) However, this time there was more lively faces apparently; according to BT (Frederik og Mary flirtede i Folketinget - royalt) F&M had lots of smiles and exchanged looks during the speech. BilledBladet has a series of pics from the event - Billedgalleri: Folketinget åbner ... Billed-Bladet: Danmarks Royale Ugeblad... with F&M entertaining each other as well (I like the first picture in the series with Queen Margrethe patting Mary's cheek)

The cream Heartmade jacket with all the patterns around the hem that Mary wore in Australia is featured in the November issue of Vogue Australia. The cost of it is $AU559 = 350 Euro :)

Which Jacket are you reffering too?

I think the outfit for the opening of Parliament was pretty okay for the occassion. A bit boring maybe but okay.

I love that Mary is trying new colours, and its not all that often that she wears pants is it? I guess winter must be coming in the North (we're headed for summer!).

:ermm:Hm, this is not one of her best looks. She seems to be drowning in that ensemble. I do see where her and her stylist, Anja, are trying to achieve here, but the "look"... not working.

I do like the high-waisted trousers, but the slim belt (which is ill-fitting) should be taken out and replaced with another one. Or taken out all together.

The blouse is nice, and I do like the color (which is hard to pull off by the way) as well as cut.

To wrap up, today's look... not my favorite.

No its not my favourite either. I agree that the belt is not the best choice, but I like that it "breaks" the pants, it makes the high waist even nicer.

I'm wondering whether a slightly slimmer fit would have improved this look? (Not so much as to be inappropriate, just a little)

And perhaps even slightly more of her shoes showing? (now I'm just nit-picking)

...it is so funny.
I bought nearly the same trousers (Crownprincess Mary wears at the Golf Event) in 1999 - together with a black twin-set. But I threw the trousers away, when they became "unmodern". I mean: I gave them to the Red Cross... (Now I am a little bit "angry" :bang: - are they "modern" again?)

I found this in a german newspaper. Do you also want to wear Crownprincess Mary's style, you can get a tipp here:

The high-waisted pants are in this season, they are nice as well as the top, but i think the top is abit too bright for the pants that already has color in it. each piece even the coat which is lovely are nice but when put together it doesnt really make a nice outfit

I also agree that this is not one of her best, i think trying to hard & fitting everything in one outfit didnt work
