Beautiful earings, they match Frederiks eyes.

I thought that they had a blue tint to them. I can't remember seeing them before. Aquamarines? So, that would make these Mary's third pair of aquamarine earrings, I think . I guess that she is a fan of the stone.

:previous: Mary usually has impeccable taste however, this time she has, to put it mildly, come a cropper!

The balance is all off, I think because she chose to have her hair down her neck, that fabulous choker around her neck and those enormous aquamarine earrings hanging over the choker.

The hairstyle is not flattering and the tiara fades into insignificance with the serious hardware below!

Below the choker there is this big empty space and above it looks like her "Jewels are Us" got nuked! Too much! Way, way too much! :nonono:

I thought Mary did a nice job of looking like she has more jewelry. s I don't remember her wearing these earrings with this choker. ( I think she has some smaller aquamarine earrings) If a princess can't Jewel it up who can?

What a clear closeup of the aquamarine choker! I never before realized that it also has a number of sapphires in it. But I think it doesn't go well with the tiara (or better: the tiara doesn't go well with the choker).

I like all of the jewelry that she is wearing, but I think that the large earrings take away from the tiara, especially when paired with the choker. I really don't mind the idea of wearing so many pieces of jewelry together considering the engagement. But, I would have preferred to have seen her wearing these earrings with the tiara and necklace.

I know that she's worn it together before, but I think that it makes for a better pairing.

Re: peacock brooch and chandelier earrings.

Does anyone know the jeweller or jewellers that designed the gold peacock and enamel brooch that CPss Mary wore on the 14th May 2009 and also that designed the gold and pearl chandelier earrings wore on the 20th May 2009 to the Danish Fashion awards?

Also, does anyone know the provenance or perhaps occasion that CPss Mary received these two pieces of jewellery?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers and Thank you,
EaO.

All the pieces (tiara, earrings, necklace) are lovely--but a little "too much" all together like that. I adore the earrings.

They´re too big to me...:nonono:

They're fairly large, but I prefer the pairing of such large earrings this way with a more simple gown. Not my taste, but a nice pairing. This is much better then Mary's pairing of her large aquamarine earrings with her choker and tiara.

You are right. It was wise on Crown Princess Mary's part to wear chandelier ear-rings without extra jewels or fussy dress. A simple dress and sleek hairstyle nicely accentuated intricate ear-rings.

They a beautiful evenings. I am glad she wore no other jewels, well a bracelet may have been nice.

:previous: It certainly would have balanced out the whole look. The tiara is delicate as is the chocker however, the large earrings she did wear were both too big and too large in style, almost medieval.

Thanks ayvee for picture, I was also thinking it was not the one with diamonds.
Do you have a picture with the mid-size version, it's white or yellow gold like the big one?

The link I posted abow was for the smaller size gold without diamonds and date, Mary's one is the bigger size, i guess it's even more expensive than 15000$, but as I said before it worths it

The picture from Billed-Bladet is the mid-size version in 18KYG. When I mentioned 'also' I was referring to the fact that it is a bigger size than the link your provided. Sorry for the confusion.

Princess Mary's is this model but only in 18KYG:
La Cote des Montres : Prix du neuf et tarif de la montre Cartier - Montres Tank - Tank Française - Moyen Modèle - W51011Q3

There are 3 sizes for the Cartier Tank Francaise watch, different in the size of the watch face.
1. Petit 20x26mm
2. Moyen 25x30mm
3. Grand 28x35mm

The older models for the ones with a date used to be in roman numeral VI but the new ones are in III.

Do any of my jewelry pals know the maker of Mary's diamond earrings worn at birthday concert yesterday?
