I didn't think about Jan. 11, now that seems like the most likely date!

Jan 11th is my birthday! 1/11/11 would be a nice date for the twins to be born. :)

Danish media are starting to speculate...hoping for a possible birth today.

I´m getting crazy with those babies, I hope the birth will be soon, I can´t wait!
I´m visiting the forums almost every hour. Pleaaaaase babies, come soon, I have exams next week and I can´t study!:bang::lol:

I hope that her delivery (whenever it happens) goes smoothly and that the twins are healthy.

Lene Balleby, the royal family's chief communications officer, denies rumours that Mary is scheduled for a planned delivery today Kongehus: Mary er ikke p fdestue - TV 2 Nyhederne

Lene Balleby says that Mary's two previous births were natural births and that expectations are that this birth will be natural as well.
She adds that as time goes, the doctors will of course evaluate whether the birth at some point should be started.

Makes sense; if BT which seems to have started these rumours had given it rational thought they should have known that unless there were medical reasons to induce labour, the royal family would not deliberately choose a birth date where the whole family is engaged and will be so each year to come.

Correction: just today, there is no New Year's court activity, this year they are scheduled for tomorrow and the day after. But still, I would say that the royal family will prefer the birth to take place after the first busy week of the new year.

So much for some conspiracy-theories, that the first two births were not natural and the CP and the doctors lied about it...

Do you think the babies will be born natural or via c-section?

So far it seems they are assuming it will be a natural birth like the two previous ones; but if the necessity arises they will of course perform a c-section. Sensible attitude IMO - no need to perform C-section if it isn't medically necessary.

Exactly :) - impressive though that some still claim that the two first births were not natural. They had absolutely no need to lie about that; it was never a secret that Frederik was born by c-section.

Wasn't it something about Frederik endangering Margrethe because he was quiet a big baby?

My mum and I have bets that they will be born on the 7th which is my mums birthday

I don't know if that was the reason; the only thing I have read is that the birth was planned to take place at Amalienborg but that complications arose so the thronefollower was taken to hospital to have a c section.

Exactly! OF course, the conspirator will claim that because the PR Officer of the DRF said it...doesn't mean that its true!:whistling:

Me too!! I'm really impatient. It will be my first baby-watch since I have joined the Forum. :flowers:

My last baby watch was for Prince Henrik of Denmark. It is always so exciting you could stay up all night waiting for the news. I have been checking my computer non stop waiting for the news to come.

For the health of the babies, I hope that they stay inside as long as possible.
As a person who is due to give birth any day now too, it would be fun to have my baby on the same day as the royal couple does. :D

Me too!!!Remember with Christian? Now that was exciting, and crazy. Then with Bella, it was exciting because everyone wanted a girl and we got one! I am so excited! At least we know it will be soon anyway!

I'm excited too! This is my first TRF baby watch so I really don't know what to exspect. As long as CP Mary and the twins get through the birth safely and are all healthy that's all that matters.

You are due too - congratulations :flowers: Would be fun if you and Mary could agree on the same day ;)

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the 6th of january. :)
I was right with Isabella, like a month before, unfortunately I didn't tell anyone. :(

Hoping for identical boys, guessing a boy and a girl, but happy as long as the babies are healthy. :)

Well, if the twins have made it through this far they'll be all right if they're born now. Most twins are born a month early. Mary's twins have made it past that mark, so the babies should be very healthy and fully developed. and I have your little one is healthy and happy too! Good luck!

I guess Mary is trying to keep them as long as possible so she won't have their birthday in upcoming years clash with the New Year events of the family. Aren't there events which are generally sceduled for the 4. and 5th of january? If so, my guess is for january 6th, which has a nice christian meaning. Just vice versa: not three kings coming to one baby but two babies coming to a future king and queen.
