Première de “die Zauberflöte » (la flûte enchantée) de W.A. Mozart, au Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie à Bruxelles

From Imagine Scandinavia: Philippe and and absolutely radiant Mathilde this evening in Brussels at they attended the Opening night of Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie's opera “die Zauberflöte, (la flûte enchantée).

Black is really one of Mathilde's colours, and with this radiance (the pregnancy I suppose) to it - wow!

Couldn't agree with you more Alisa :).

Thank you very much for these wonderful pictures GrandDuchess :).

All the royal ladies who were present at the Vatican looked absolutely beautiful and radiant, Maria-Theresa and her beautiful pearl earrings. Sofia with her lace mantilla with intricate detailing, and of course Mathilde who (agreeing with Grand Duchess) just glows when she's pregnant.

At the opera. She also wore this suit when she was expecting Elisabeth. The brooch is a beautiful detail.

CP Mathilde has this wonderful glow of her all the time, but when she's expecting... she's more radient than ever! Simply beautiful.

It´s not only that she´s beautiful, but I feel she is the ONLY Crown Princess who is gorgeous, but makes sure she never overshadows the Crown Prince. I don´t know how how Mathilde does it, but it´s a real art.

11 December 2003, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Prince Philippe of Belgium and his wife Princess Mathilde are present during the official inauguration of "Living Tomorrow's" new project in Amsterdam: a very futuristic building. The aim of the project is to show realistically how we will live and work in the future.

Afterwards they went to visit Maxima & Willem-Alexander to congratulate them on the birth of Amalia.

Mathilde looks really wonderful in this pictures. Is she very tall? I often think that she is photographed from bad angles (eg bottom-up) and that she looks out of proportion, but in these photographs she is just fantastic.

Philippe wore that lovely pin-striped suit again. That really suits him. Thank you Cathérine and Hannelore for the photos. Mathilde looks wonderful in the last set of photos, despite the sad event.

Couldn't agree with you more Danielle that the suit really does suit him. I guess Mathilde is not the only one who can look good ;).

Allow me to thank you both too for the wonderful pictures :).

Some extra information from Sofie at the Glittering Royals message Board:

"This must bring special feelings to her (Mathilde) since her sister Marie-Alix and her grandmother died in a terrible traffic crash. that's one of the main reasons why they were there today. You can see on a few pictures that Mathilde is trying very hard not to cry.
You can even see Crown Prince Philippe looking at his wife to see how she's cooping.

As the eldest of the d'Udekem d'Acoz-children she saw very closely what the death of her sister did to her parents. For her mother, it was just that bit harder as she also lost her own mother in the same crash.

Crown prince Philippe went to their funeral, so it's known that Philippe and Mathilde were allready close back then. It was said by the family priest that helped the family through it all as a background reportage of the event in the Belgian television programme Royalty. He even told that every song, every prayer, every piece of text for the funeral had been selected by Mathilde personally.

A representative of the organisation also told that there has been a lot of interest for the organisation from both Mathilde as Philippe, they have had informal conversations before. He also stressed out that the presence of Mathilde and Philippe to the "memorial service" meant a lot to the parents that had lost a child in an accident. "
