Hello I am new here and I am confused when it comes to Prince Hamdan. If he is the second oldest son then why is he crown prince? I thought that the oldest son would deserve that tittle so why did Prince Hamdan get that tittle instead?

Second, in the UAE royal culture (maybe in all muslims royal families) being the first born doesnt mean that you´ll be the Cronw Prince, this spot is reserve for the one who has the aptitude for the job, its an important job, also its been said that Sheikh Rashid didnt have a interest in politics; so Sheikh Mohammed pick Sheikh Hamdan cuz he is truly commited to work for Dubais develoment and their other interests

to know how tall is sheikh hamdan??
i have read that he is only 1.66
is that true????
 
Yes it's true, at the most. Why would this be surprizing? Some rational thought here. Although he is well on the short side compared with say, Northern European males, it is about average for a Gulf Arab male. Why would he be expected to be tall? Would it be surprizing to learn for example that Italian, Spanish, Greek & Turkish or Chinese & Japanese men, to (on the whole), have average height well on the short side? Hamdan or Rashid are NOT particularly short among their peers. They are the same height as Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Zayed is shorter, Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed only an inch taller, both Sheikh Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Zayed & Sheikh Hazza Bin Sultan Bin Zayed are shorter, Sheikh Nasser Bin Zayed was about the same height, Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed about the same, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed also and Sheikh Zayed, he was short... but not compared to most of his peers!

yea they are average hieght but if you see a photo of hamdan next to tamim al thani it makes him look tiny. lol!!! although everyone looks tiny next to tamim al thani.

That's for sure :lol:. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamed Al Khalifa ( the almost never seen 2nd oldest son of the King of Bahrain) is another unusually tall one. About 6ft :ohmy:
