The King’s Christmas message was once again the highest viewed programme on TV on Christmas Day. It was watched by 7.48million live viewers, down about 600,000 on last year (most programmes were down). In a week or so we’ll get figures that include those who watched on catch up services such as iplayer etc (in which case many programmes will far exceed the King’s message but it will also go up several million itself).
