The National Mint and Stamp Factory-Royal Mint celebrates the tenth anniversary of the proclamation of His Majesty King Felipe VI with the issuance of a 40 euro collector coin in sterling silver.

Madrid will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the coronation of King Felipe VI with a city tribute event that will be held next Tuesday, June 18, the day before the anniversary.

"We are also going to join in with banners throughout the city and the EMT buses that will also be decorated for the occasion"

Its nice that the National Mint are celebrating the 10th anniversary but just to point out that King Felipe VI did not have a Coronation as stated above.

It was good for the royal family to appear on the balcony of the Royal Palace of Madrid to mark the 10th anniversary of the proclamation.

Where did it state that the RF were appearing on the balcony of the Royal Palace of Madrid to mark the 10th anniversary?

They didn't show up. I would like them to appear. It was a translation error.

Will they appear there? I doubt so as they barely use it

curious if the bank of spain will come forward with the annie leibovitz photos on this occasion.

I would like the Spanish royal house to release new official photos of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia with their daughters. But I doubt the royal house will release new photos.

What about the Annie Leibovitz' photos commissioned by the Banco de España?

It is a commission from the Bank of Spain, so they will announce it when they decide to present the portraits.

Next week the closure of the Royal Palace for several days is announced, so perhaps they have an event planned there. It also seems that on the anniversary of the proclamation, access to the National Heritage palaces and museums will be free.

Open day at the Gallery and the Royal National Heritage Sites

National Heritage joins the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the proclamation of King Felipe VI with an open day. On Wednesday, June 19, access to the Gallery of the Royal Collections, the royal palaces and monasteries will be free during their usual opening hours, except the Royal Palace of Madrid, where, due to the official ceremony of that day, the day free opening is delayed to Thursday, June 20.

They just released new photos of the family for their 20th anniversary in May. I don't think more photos a few weeks later can be expected.

The 10th anniversary of King Felipe VI's Proclamation also marks the 10th anniversary of Letizia Ortiz as Queen Consort. I think the Spanish government should mark this occasion by upgrading the Queen from Dame Grand Cross to Dame with Collar of the Order of Carlos III, in line with the grade that was (actually is) held by Queen Sofía. That upgrade has been long overdue IMHO.

So a Balcony appearance after all, but from a different balcony then the one used for the Wedding and proclamation. Wonder if there will be space for the public too.

There will only be public on the sides of the square and around the palace.

The solemn changing of the guard is usually held on the first Wednesday of the month, and the military occupy a large part of the square. The public is located on the sides of the interior and exterior of the palace.

Do we know anything about the pictures, are these pictures taken by press agencies or from the fundus of the Casareal Photographer?

In the documentary Felipe and Letizia, ten years of reign, produced by ¡HOLA! MEDIA, the most important moments of this decade on the throne are analyzed.

An interesting point in the documentary, with which I agree, is that Queen Letizia has a more positive image abroad than inside Spain. We see this anecdotally on social media where the comments about Letizia from Spaniards and, by extension, some Latin Americans, tend to be usually negative while people from other countries, especially English speakers, give Letizia positive reviews.

Starting today, the Royal Palace of Madrid hosts the exhibition “Felipe VI 2014 – 2024. A decade in the history of the Crown of Spain”. The exhibition - sponsored by Telefónica and whose visit is included in the entrance to the Royal Palace - reviews, through video and large-format photographs, the most important events of this decade and is complemented with a video mapping that will be projected on the façade of the Palace for three days and a publication in newspaper format.
