It's more likely that lovely Claire, perhaps prompted by Laurent was trying to make a point to Philippe about what they felt was an insufficient apanage.According to Wim Dehandschutter of HLN, Pss Claire will not attend the national day. For now it remains unclear why. In 2016 and 2021 she also did not attend. The reasons were that she claimed not to be able to find a baby sitter (2016) and her illness (2021).
Other members of the family are to attend, including Pss Delphine and her partner. Prince Gabriel will be marching with other students fo the royal militairy school.
