This just dawned on me you are correct. Perhaps she will spend more time in Denmark with her sisters after things have settled. Now are three widows..

Most news websites are all running the same obit from kathermiri newspaper, which is a pretty backhanded piece that dwells on his political failures of the 1960s and the long aftermath of them. It’s deeply unfair to HLM as it misses what was the more interesting thing about Constantine; the way he was able to create a meaningful and happy life for himself and his family following those failures and in a way, rise above them. True, his family connections played a big part in his ability to do so but very few other deposed kings in the twentieth century managed this. Despite all the disappointments and setbacks, it was a life very well led. RIP
Now that all three sisters are widows, I believe that Anne Marie will spend more time with them in Denmark. This just dawned on me you are correct. Perhaps she will spend more time in Denmark with her sisters after things have settled.
It depends on how big a funeral they plan, but my bet is Margrethe, Benedikte, Frederik from Denmark. Mary stays home as regent, no mention of Joachim. Maybe Benedikte's son and daughters. (Wouldn't surprise me if Margrethe skips it, though.)

Of course not. Greece is a republic since half a century!May He Rest in Piece ! He passes away in the Country where he was King. Queen Anne Marie was a devoted wife since years.
Pavlos and Marie Chantal left Greece for New York , wil they come back to Greece as King and Queen ?
Why would that have any impact? She was his wife, she is a former Queen of the Hellenes - certainly she cannot be denied of being buried next to her late husband some day!AM might get into a Dilemma : If she keeps living in Greece for the rest of her life there are barely any family members to support her because N and T don' t have children and in particular T travels a lot around the world during the year but if she reinstalls in Denmark let' s say for some ten years depending on how long she' ll outlive C she might get in trouble if she claims to get buried next to Constantine when the time comes.
For Prince Richard they made an exception and everyone went so i think they should do the same for Constantine. At least one of them will need to be in Denmark; so, it seems most likely that Mary will need to remain home as Margrethe and Benedikte will want to support their sister and hopefully both Frederik and Joachim will travel to Greece for the funeral of their uncle.

It might be the wrong occasion to finally give Counts Nikolai or Count Felix a callFor Prince Richard they made an exception and everyone went so i think they should do the same for Constantine.
Pity that Prince Christian is not yet 18.It might be the wrong occasion to finally give Counts Nikolai or Count Felix a call
We don't know how big the funeral will be allowed to be, but it would be beautiful if both KCIII and PoW can attend.
But what's certain is the attendance of QMII -and her sons- and Princess Benedikte. Felipe + Doña Elena and Doña Cristina, if Juan Carlos traveled all the way to London for QEII then he will surely do the same for his brother-in-law.

As long as we don't know what the conditions of the funeral are, you can't speculate who will attend or not.
The presence of members of royalty, especially if they are Heads of State, requires organization and security organized and paid for by the Greek government, so everything must be negotiated. Although now the situation and the relationship are more normalized, it does not seem that the Greek government wants to make this funeral a royal great show.
But Heads of State could also attend in private. At the funeral of Queen Frederike in 1981 there a few Head of States and high ranking royals attended.

And many of them are close family members and extended family ,sister in law, uncle and so on.
I see no harm in speculating who may attend as its not written in stone!
I'd expect a large Spanish and Danish turnout for the funeral and imagine there would be representatives from other royal Houses.

From Spain: Felipe, Letizia, Cristina, and Elena. Maybe Juan Carlos (how is his health?)
From England: Prince William or Princess Anne (and Tim Laurence). Maybe Prince Michael.
From Sweden: King and Queen, plus Victoria and Daniel or some of the king's sisters.
From Norway: Depends on how Harald's health is. Maybe him and Sonia. Otherwise Haakon and Mette Marit.
From the Netherlands: Beatrix, Constantijn, and Laurentien.
From Jordan: King and Queen. Possibly some other Middle Eastern or Asian representatives.
No guess on Belgium, Liechtenstein, or Luxembourg. Albert of Monaco would have known Constantine from Olympics stuff, so maybe he'll attend.
A disgrace, ignoring a significant part of the Greek history, and opening up to hysteria as they are afraid to annoy Syriza, what heroes....Not!
Send their minister of culture??Instead of what,a clerk...Good,let her take a bucket and some brushes and clean up the Tatoi cemetery first!!
Proud of their history...my foot...Ignoring it!

I would expect Prince William to be the one to represent the BRF at the funeral of King Constantine. He may well be accompanied by Princess Anne.

My thoughts too…. This sounds more like it will be a last act of humiliation for a man the greek state have never missed a chance to ridicule….
A pity when it could have been a respectful demonstration of a not so small part of the greek history. Like it was done in Romania when King Michael died and in Austria when Crown Prince Otto died…… What are the greek government so afraid of after all these years ?
