For many years, the Sandringham Flower Show has marked the last public engagement before the start of the summer holiday for C&C. I expect the same arrangement to continue, and suspect they are already ensconced in Birkhall by now.

The King and Queen are attending a dinner at the Mansion House in the City of London tonight. It’s a tradition for the monarch to visit the City in the year of his Coronation to pay tribute to its institutions.

Interesting to see that the Queen again didn´t wear the Garter sash, only the star! It´s the second time - IMO it looks a bit "incomplete" for a white tie Gala occasion.
Her late mother in laws favourite tiara looks very good and suitable on her, though!

Good to see them both out and about. I also think this was an especially well chosen first outing after the announcement of HM's illness.

On Belgian TV they said it was a wonderful short first Visit. His Courage makes him a winner , but how will de able to attend a 3 days State Visit from japan ?

If he follows his mother's example, he doesn't need to be particularly busy. Receive the guests and dine with them on the first day and probably say goodbye on the last day. All other activities were undertaken by other family members - at least the last few years.
