This is great! I hope she does attend

Queen Margrethe was awarded a Robert Award as Costume Designer of the Year for her artistic work in the film "Ehrengard - The Art of Seduction" yesterday, February 3:

I am deeply grateful, touched and proud of the recognition that the Robert award represents. Receiving an award that the industry itself awards makes me particularly happy, and it has been a great joy and pleasure to be able to contribute to the expression of the film. I would like to thank the entire team behind the film, but I especially thank all those who have made my ideas, sketches and drawings a reality - not least the talented people who have sewn and worked with the many costumes

She does look genuinely delighted.

To be honest I thought she looked down on such award-events.

Maybe the mean so much to her because unlike most othet awards this one is because of what she did and not just who she is?

I just watched the movie and I didn't realize she was involved until I watched and read an article. I was amazed.

I knew of course she has done a lot of work with the ballet. I hadn't realized she had done work with a film.

And yes I think getting award for her talent and not just who she is means a lot to her.

What a great honor. Loved that she took the time for a photo and some words.

Queen Margrethe today, March 11, attended the first work meeting for Tivoli's new ballet performance "Klods-Hans". The world premiere will be on June 22:

I'm so happy for her -- and for the Tivoli audiences! I hope she has the opportunity to pursue all kinds of projects that interest her.

I was thinking the other day that she is a great example of how someone can pursue a career and artistic projects without compromising her royal status or using her title for commercial ends. She's a great example to the younger generations.

Queen Margrethe has designed a new peacock curtain for the Tivoli theatre that celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. It will be unveiled on May 8. Queen Margrethe is quoted saying:
Since I was a child in Tivoli for the first time and experienced the Pantomime, I have been fascinated by the peacock carpet. The very idea behind such a rug is both wonderful and adventurous, and it has therefore been an exciting task to give an updated take on the peacock rug. I have approached the task with great respect for the original and original idea, and whether it has been successful is for others to judge. In any case, it has been an inspiring and fun task, and I am very much looking forward to seeing the finished result.

:previous: The peacock curtain will be a magnificent work of art created by Queen Margrethe.

Today, May 8, the Pantomime Theatre Tivoli's new peacock curtain was unveiled in presence of Queen Margrethe - it looks beautiful! See here and in the gallery below.

It’s a real showstopper (…showstarter?), but what did the old one look like?
