King Carl Gustaf's greeting
"This year's World Scout Jamboree has offered a series of extraordinary challenges. Therefore, I want to send a special greeting to your Swedish scouts and leaders on site in South Korea.
As scouts, you are always ready. You don't cancel – you change! With joint efforts, you have been able to continue the camp in another location.
As you now finish your stay in South Korea, it is my hope that you have developed as scouts and made friends and memories for life.”
The World Scout Jamboree in South Korea ends this weekend, which brought together roughly 40,000 scouts. 2000 Swedish scouts have been on site. Since the start of the camp, this year's jamboree has been surrounded by a series of extraordinary challenges. From heat wave and torrential rain to typhoon warning, which has led to all participants being moved from the camp site to other parts of the country.
Before the end of the camp, the King, who is the first honorary member of the @scouterna and honorary chairman of the World Scout Foundation, has sent a greeting to the Swedish scouts @wsj23_sweden.
