Jordan News Agency (Petra) |King to visit France, US
Amman, Sept. 12, (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II will pay a working visit to France on September 17 and 18 where he will meet with French President Francois Hollande.

The King and Hollande will discuss Jordanian-French ties as well as the latest regional and international developments.

His Majesty will also meet in Paris with a number of French officials as well as influential economic, religious and intellectual figures.

From Paris, King Abdullah will head to New York where he, along with a number of world leaders, will attend the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly.

His Majesty will lead Jordan's delegation to the General Assembly meetings and deliver a keynote address in which he will review Jordan's stance towards developments in the region as well as challenges facing it.

King Abdullah will also meet on the sidelines of the General Assembly, with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, a number of world leaders and other senior political figures taking part in the meetings.

Amman, Sept. 17 (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, left Amman on Wednesday for a working visit to Paris, where he will hold talks with French President Francois Hollande on bilateral relations and regional and international developments.

The King, also accompanied by HRH Prince Hashim bin Abdullah, will meet with a number of French senior officials and economic, religious and intellectual leaders.

Yes this is the first time that they mention that any of their four children will be with King and Queen at Official Visit but I don´t think Hashem will attend an event except if Queen visits an hospital, school...

Today is the last day of the visit to France, i thought he will attend the meetings with his father as per the statement:

We did not see the king & queen performing such visits since the Arab spring. I hope they have more events in NY.

It always looks like the little prince is close to his big brother maby this is why he went, for the trip to U.S..

Some lovely photos of the visit. It has been a while since we have seen the King & Queen on a working/official visit together. I think they need to do a few more often. It's great to see Prince Hashem. Yes he might have school but missing school for a week or two isn't a big deal, especially when he would have follow up help on the trip and I'm pretty sure the school would've given them what he needs to cover while he is away.

Cant wait for New York!

King, Egyptian President discuss ties, regional developments

New York, Sep. 22 (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Sunday, met with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and discussed with him bilateral relations in various political and economic fields as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.

King: Our borders are extremely secure

In a television interview with presenter of "60 minutes" program, Scott Pelley, which was broadcast on CBS on Sunday, and in response to a question about hosting a large number of Syrian refugees, the King said that Jordan received more than 1.4 million Syrian refugees forming 20 percent or slightly more of the country's population, which is equivalent of probably 60 million refugees in the United States.
