I can't explain it, but I am disappointed by the Car. Does that mean she will have a motorcycle escort? Or the Royal Horseguards?
I need more info on the dress. Anything new on the choice of designer yet? Please oh please may it be a marzipan cupcake with lots of sprinkles..... :-D

I think a car doesn't live up to your expectations of the classic British Fairytale Royal Wedding, where a glass coach and all is used.

I think the British are in a nasty split sometimes - keeping traditions alive while also having to move with the times.

At this point, I dont know if there is anything to be done for those disappointed that Kate will arrive by car. Its still going to be a procession, you will be able to see her and its not like she is arriving by a Mini Cooper. Its the same car that the Queen has used in the past.

I also think that the BRF is trying to be mindful of the current economic times that we live in. Considering that when this engagement was announced and we heard a lot of people complaining about the cost to the British public (and its a legitimate claim) and now they are acting within (gasp) a budget...they are getting raked over the coals.

Catherine will be a member of the BRF..there will be plenty of opportunities for her to ride in a carriage.

The Monaco wedding won't go through half of the scrutiny that the British one. As said before, They can't please everybody, every little detail that comes out, gets criticized. Can't imagine how much pressure the people who are planning this ceremony are having to deal with, jezz. Wouldn't like to be standing on their shoes, for sure!

To be honest once this low-key wedding is done and dusted I doubt you'll see anything of them anyway once they retire to Wales. I am more looking forward to the Monaco Royals to show them how it should be done on 1 July.

Monaco as a Principality, hasn't had a Royal wedding in over 50 years, nor have they had a Princess since Princess Grace's death in 1982, so of course it will be a monumental occasion and cause for celebration for it's citizens. As Monaco also has a rich economy, you won't hear the citizens complaining about every euro being spent on the festivities or security, so no doubt there will no expense spared on either.

On one hand I see complaints regarding the expense of Kate and William's wedding in these economic times, when the citizens are only paying for security. On the other, I am seeing complaints regarding the "low key" theme of the wedding. And now Monaco is going to SHOW the British Royal family how a Royal wedding is done?

Monaco is a pretty Principality, however no matter how much glamour and glitz is showered on it for this wedding, it will never compare to a true British Royal wedding...even a low key one.

I can't tell the difference, actually. I just know when I'm being given a good show. William and Kate are having to be so *careful* - and all the stuff about Diana is something of a turn-off (for me). Too serious.

The Monaco wedding is going to be a blast, I think. Albert has a lot of Royal friends to give advice, for sure - its going to be just plain fun with none of the heavy overtones of the British one - though I will watch that (at 3 a.m. hmmmm......maybe - that will take resolve ).

I've seen pictures of Joachim of Denmark looking at Alexandra. And I will never forget the moment that Andrew saw Sarah.

Sometimes there are things that love can't overcome. But I do agree with your grandmother to a point.

Either way, I think Kate and William have a good solid foundation and care (love) each other a great deal.

I think you are right about this. I think Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York were in love most of their divorced. I don't know if Sarah last antic did them in.

Georgia, IMO, I don't see the love that is there that Wills has for Kate that Albert has for Charlene. I may be wrong, however, it looks like a business arrangement to me and if it works for them, then bully for them.
