Victoria & Daniel's 1st Baby - Guess the Sex, Name and Godparents

If it's a boy it will be Carl-(fill-in-the-blank) ... a girl .... Christina would seem to be a good choice since it's the name of a former Queen of Sweden. I think that other names which may be included are:

Carl-?, Olle Daniel Bertil
Christina Sybilla Louise Silvia (or even Renate which is Queen Silvia's middle name)

Frederik and Mary from Denmark would be nice. I don't remember them being godparents for any of the new generation of future monarchs...

CP Frederik is godparent for Princess Ingrid Alexandra.

I think that godparents of CP Victoria's and Prince Daniel's child would be Princess Madeline, CP Frederik ( maybe with his wife CP Mary), CP Haakon ( maybe with his wife CP Mette-Marit), Prince Daniel's sister - Anna, maybe CP Willem-Alexnader ( I don't think that CP Maxima will be - maybe when CP Victoria give birth to second child) and someone from Prince Daniel's family or Sweden CPC friend.

All family names, but there are a lot of really nice names in the SRF family tree, so unless they choose Adolf, which is highly unlikely, they can't go wrong with any name.

Oscar is no.1 in Sweden right now, last year 1108 boys named Oscar were born in Sweden.

As for gender, as long as the baby is healthy and happy, it doesn't matter. The parents will love their child no matter boy or girl.

Given the fact that this first baby will be the future monarch of Sweden, I think Victoria and Daniel will go the traditional route as far as names, whether the baby is a boy or a girl. A healthy child is of course the most important thing.. I am hoping this baby is a boy, but I won't be disappointed if a little girl arrives either

Wow, people here have really given this some thought beforehand, I guess! Call me crazy but I feel it is too early to say which one she'll have. I can't 'see' which one it is yet. I'll let you know a little later!

As for names, I really have no ideas yet. I'm hoping for an old-fashioned name, not something 'trendy' but hopefully something that hasn't been used in a while. It doesn't matter if the name isn't "kid-friendly", no-one stays a small child their whole lives, a name must be one that you can bear proudly when you are old as well.
