everyone does relize they just said since theres no documantry evidance they cant do anything but know it had to be lennin because he didnt do anything agasint the preptors it means they know he did but due to soo much time passing theres lack of evidance and cant do anything and the only document to exisit is from leon trotsky s diary which is the only one and doesnt implicate anyone but the lead exuctoner

The descendents of the Romanov dynasty do not believe the conclusions made by the Russian Investigative Committee about there being no evidence that Russia's last Emperor Nicholas II and his family were executed on the orders of Soviet leaders Vladimir Lenin and Yakov Sverdlov

"We believe that there is a whole host of evidence," Director of Chancellery of the House of Romanov Alexander Zakatov told Interfax on Thursday.

"The memoirs of Lev Trotsky and several other Bolsheviks contain evidence that the decision to execute the royal family was made by Sverdlov and Lenin," he said...

Anger as Russia closes the case of the murdered Tsar

The Romanov dynasty met its unhappy end almost a century ago in a bunker in Yekaterinburg – but descendants of the last Tsar hope they can still exercise some political influence.

On Monday Russia’s investigative committee announced that it was closing the case on the murder of the royal family, who were shot in the Ural city amid fears it would fall to the Whites as the Civil War raged in 1918.

For many the news merited little more than a shrug: the fall of the Tsar feels like ancient history, and Russia’s cops have rather more pressing contemporary killings to investigate.

But the scions of the Romanov family are not convinced and have demanded the files be reopened.

Oh, they should get a life. That was 1918. They were murdered. No one responsible is alive, probably. The scions might just go out and try to do something worthwhile, instead of hoping that the verdict will change.
 
Perhaps they all have lives, and this is just a sort of hobby (like participating on a forum). Certainly, some people want to know as much as possible about the past, it's just in their nature.

House of Romanov doubts identity of "Yekaterinburg remains"


Moscow, March 9, Interfax - The House of Romanov said the royal remains, found outside Yekaterinburg and buried in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg, may have been other than those of the last Russian tsar Nicholas II and his family members.

"Alas, this is not ruled out," House of Romanov spokesman Alexander Zakatov told Interfax on Wednesday.

The priests, who attended the burial of the "Yekaterinburg remains" on July 17, 1998 did not mention any of the Romanov family by name, he said.

"By all accounts, those were victims of terror tortured to death, and no one is saying their ashes must be disturbed again, even if it has been proven that these remains are not those of the Romanov family. What is done is done and let them rest in peace. But the truth must

Moscow, March 5, Interfax - Head of Russia's Romanov Imperial House Maria Vladimirovna favoured the idea to rebuild the memorial chapel to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov in Kostroma.

"I think the reconstruction of the memorial chapel will put the historical record straight and put an end to violations of Christians' religious feelings," the Great Duchess says in an answer to the letter from architect Yevgeny Yefremov.

House of Romanov denied copy of ruling to close Nicholas II murder case


Moscow, April 7, Interfax - The House of Romanov stated that the Russian Investigative Committee (SKR) has refused to provide a copy of the ruling closing the criminal case over the execution of Emperor Nicholas II and his family.

The SKR official refusal was received on Wednesday, House of Romanov lawyer German Lukyanov told Interfax.

"The Investigative Committee explained its decision by the fact that Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna is neither a party in the criminal proceedings, nor a person whose interests would be affected by such procedural decision, so a copy of the ruling cannot be issued under the Russian criminal procedural laws," Lukyanov said.

"Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna believes that this decision is illegal and baseless. It will be duly appealed at a court," the House of Romanov lawyer said.

In February, the head of the House of Romanov filed a written request with the SKR and the Prosecutor General's Office, asking to provide her with a copy of a January 14, 2011 ruling to close the criminal inquiry into the royal family execution.

Romanov descendant wins Russian case over Tsar death

A Moscow court decided on Wednesday that documents linked to the murder of Russia's last tsar must be handed to a remaining member of his dynasty to help unlock the mystery of Nicholas II's final hours.

Romanov descendants are still trying to understand the circumstances under which the tsar and his family were shot at close range in the middle of the night on July 17, 1918 after Bolsheviks seized power across the fallen empire.

M.V. plans to publish the documents and gain some money. The Russian historians have expressed their disagreement about possible losing of the valuable documents.
 
Romanovs to get copy of order to end probing Nicholas II execution (updated)


Moscow, September 14, Interfax - Russia's top criminal investigation agency will pass over to descendants of the former Russian royal family a copy of its order to terminate the investigation of the 1918 execution of last Russian tsar Nicholas II, his family and members of his retinue, a senior investigator said on Wednesday.

"The court said it's desirable to hand over the papers to the Romanovs to familiarize themselves with it. Let them do so. It wasn't a classified case, we didn't keep a single forensic test secret. It has become public, and thank God for that," Vladimir Solovyov, a senior investigator and forensic expert at the Investigative Committee, told Interfax.

Solovyov had investigated the case.

No Kremlin orders on shooting Emperor Nicholas II exist - investigator


Moscow, October 27, Interfax - Russian investigative agencies do not possess any documents indicating that Vladimir Lenin or other Soviet leaders issued orders on shooting Emperor Nicholas II and members of his family, says Vladimir Solovyov, a senior investigator and criminologist from the Investigative Committee criminology department.

"Even if some oral instructions were given, they were not formalized, and we don't have such documents. The shooting was carried out at the Urals regional council presidium's decision," Solovyov said.

Alexander Zakatov, the director of the Romanov family chancellery, said the Imperial Family also has no documents indicating Lenin's responsibility for the shooting of the Romanovs but has indirect evidence indicating the Soviet leaders' possible awareness of this.

"We have never ventured to say that Lenin issued this order. There are no official documents on this account, but this does not rule out that the Soviet leaders did issue such an order, and there is indirect evidence," he said.

Criminal investigator suggests inviting Russian Orthodox Church into royal remains inquiry


Moscow, October 27, Interfax - The Russian government should set up a commission that would include representatives from the Russian Orthodox Church to settle the issue regarding the authenticity of the remains of Emperor Nicholas II and members of his family, said senior criminal expert Vladimir Solovyov of the Russian Investigative Committee, who has been probing the execution of the royal family.

"The right solution would be to set up a government commission including Church representatives or the specialists who are trusted by the Church. This commission would be a platform for civil talks and discussions," Solovyov told a press conference at the Interfax head office on Thursday.

There is no evidence that the family of Russia's last tsar was murdered on Vladimir Lenin's order, declared the country’s Investigative Committee.
"Not a single document indicates that Lenin or Kremlin officials issued an order to shoot the tsar's family,” said senior investigator and criminologist Vladimir Solovyov. “Even if some oral instructions were given, they were not formalized, and we don't have such documents.”
The shooting, the investigator insisted, was thus carried out solely on the decision of the Urals regional council.
"This is the work of dozens of outstanding experts,” Solovyov said. “It involved a lot of technological novelties and new identification technology.”
The announcement follows the release of a final decision in the Romanovs murder case, which has at last been closed by the Investigative Committee.

“The Russian Orthodox Church does not consider that there are enough grounds to recognize those remains as the remains of saint royal martyrs,” he said. “We are speaking not just about the remains of ordinary people, but about honored relics.”

He added, however, that the Imperial House had never questioned the scientific and investigative conclusions and had never said that the remains were not authentic. But the final conclusion would require a consensus between the Church and the public, he said.

“If the Church’s position on this issue changes, the Imperial House will be glad,” he said.

The Grand Duchess is perhaps just waiting for the Church to recognize the authenticity of the remains, at which point she will automatically do the same thing.
 
didnt she accept it before the burial in 1998 if i recall there was a documantry revanage of the romanovs where her mother was talking of the remains how its them and this entire thing for her with not accepting the remains started when she wasnt given status at the funreal
