A nice surprise would also bee the queen with the ruby tiara. For the Gruand Duchess i'm thinking one of her diamond tiaras and nice wiould be thediamond and sapphire necklac/tiara from Grand Duchess Josephine-Charlotte ( not the square one with the iog sapphire but the other with the small pendants). I hope she doesn't wear the aquamarines they would perfectly match the swedish order but ithink the tiara is to small for such an Event.

You are right about the ruby tiara, that would be a nice change. As an alternative I wouldn't mind to see it on Victoria.
I like the sapphire necklace you are talking about, but don't think that it makes a good tiara. It would be nice with the sapphire tiara from GD Charlotte.

I want the sapphire necklace as necklace together with one of her diamond tiaras not as tiara. I think it would match tzhe Order of the seraphime quiet good.

Yes, that would really look good with the order. I hope that she will opt for the floral tiara, because the Nobels would be a good chance to get HQ pics of it. I'm desparate to see details of it's structure and design. And it looks nice, imo.

My guessing for Nobel ceremonies

I will be in heaven with:
CP Victoria - Connaught tiara (it's delicate and feminine, she never wore it before, paired with pastel dress with silver embroidery)
Q Silvia - Braganza tiara (she can pull it off well as we saw at Victoria's wedding, maybe with blue dress also with embroidery)
GD Maria Terese - this big tiara (I always forgot the name :bang:, with good hairstyle it would be amazing outing, plus simple dress in strong color)

I would be glad with:
CP - amethyst tiara
Q - Ruby tiara or Cameo tiara
GD - Emerald Art Deco or Marie-Adelaide's Sapphire tiara (this pretty one with sapphire in the center)

We will probably see:
CP - Baden Fringe or Six Button
Q - Connaught or Nice Prong Tiara
GD - Diamond Belgium tiara or bigger flower tiara

I can't wait :ROFLMAO:

I hope Victoria is going to wear the six buttons tiara but I fear she'll wear the Baden Fringe Tiara which I don't like at all....

And this is what we got
Silvia in the nine-rponge tiara, Victoria in the six-button tiara. Christina her small diamond tiara and Maria Teresa the tiara with the big emerald in the Center.

And Victoria seems to wear also the two hairpins from the Leuchtenberg parure.

So I guessed 2 tiaras and one dream delighted me a lot (MT).

Congratulations :flowers:! I guessed none:bang:.
But I got the little surprise I was hoping for. Victoria not only wears the sapphire hairpins, she also added a diamond riviere covering the base of the tiara. This still doesn't make it my favourite tiara, but it looks a bit better with it.

The extra row of diamonds doesn't help it looks because now the middle ro of diamonds is shorter then the 2 others. I think the best solution for this peacewould be if the would remove 2 rows so that only one row of diamond (which is now at the top of the 3) remains. At Princess Lilian it always worked because the lower shorter row was hidden in her hair which is not the case with updos.

Thanks :flowers:
I hope tomorrow we will see other tiaras and jewels.

Queen Sylvia - the Leuchtenberg or the nine prong tiara - my guess.
CP Victoria - hopefully not the 6 button thing.....would be great if she could opt for something new or the amethyst...

Ok - I got two right - 1 I thought so and 1 I hoped not to see...:ermm:
Didn' see GD MT yet.

My guesses for the New Years royal reception in Denmark:

Mary:Her Ruby Tiara

QMII:The Danish Emerald tiara

:previous:My guesses are: Mary definitely with the ruby tiara and Queen Margrethe with the pearl parure.

at the new year galas it seems mary has only worn the ruby tiara am i corrext?

My guess: The Queen the big floral aigrette tiara with the big daimond necklace from the Crown Jewels (she has worn the emeralds this year and last year the pearl tiara) and Mary the rubies.

Yes, that's correct. It's a very formal event and also Queen Margrethe always picks her best glitter for it. So Mary doesn't go for her smaller tiara either.

But what I'm really looking forward to is the jubilee in January. I think that the emerald parure will be spared for that event. Can't wait for the guest list, let's hope that a lot of tiara owning ladies will be invited:lol:!

Yes that will beinteresting but it could be that like at her Silver Jubilee in 1997 only the scandinavian Royals and the Presidents of Finland and Iceland are invited. In 1997 Prince Brtil died just a few days efore the Jubilee (his funeral was 1 or 2 days before) and therefore from Sweden only Princess Christina and her husband attended. If i remeber correct the Royals then wore the Collar of the Order of the Elephant and not the sash so lets see if this also the case next year.

But at least I expect to see some tiaras, which is much more than I expect from QEII's jubilee (which is likely to be a completely tiara-free affaire). At least I count on the Queens sisters to attend, hopefully also the younger Greeks and Berleburgs. (My special wish is to see new Princess Tatiana). Do you think that some of the Rosenborg's will be invited, Stefan?

Maybe CP Mary will wear her Wedding Tiara with the added pearls?

Would love to see Her Majesty in the Emerald Tiara!

Many guessed the ruby tiara for Mary, but noone thought that she might add the spare pieces from the tiara-change as an hair ornament. Splendid, if you ask me!

The Queen looked great with her pearl tiara, so I proudly got that one right:lol:.

This weekend there will be the big tiara alert in Kopenhagen: on Saturday there will be a concert and on Sunday a gala dinner is planned. Apart from the DRF the Queens of Sweden and Norway will attend both events and CP Mette-Marit is expected to take part on Sunday. I very much hope to see the complete Greek and Berleburg families, as well as many Rosenborgs. I’m not sure which of the two events will be more high profile and therefore calls for the grandest juwellery.
I think that Queen Margrethe will wear the emerald and the pearl poire parures.
For Mary: I’m wondering why she outed the new hair brooches of the ruby parure already on New Year. That would have been appropriate for the jubilee, unless she has another surprise in store for us (maybe a changed version of the necklace?). For the other event I would predict the wedding tiara with the pearls and hopefully the aquamarine and pearl choker and the aquamarine chandeliers. (PLEASE!)
Queen Silvia: maybe the Leuchtenberg sapphires and the nine prongs tiara (which seems to be her favourite, sigh).
Queen Sonja: the emerald parue (no salmon or yellow dress, please) and the large version of the pearl tiara.
Mette-Marit: this would be a great occasion to wear the small pearl version again, but I fear that she’ll stick to her wedding tiara.
Most interesting: will Princesses Tatiana and Theodora attend, and which tiaras will they wear? I think that there is a slight chance that Tatiana received a tiara for her wedding, like her sisters in law did. Can’t wait to see!

As the Convert on Saturday is black tie with tiara optional i don't expect full Parures that evening. Sunday is white tie so we will see the bigger Jewelry that evening but they have to wear the Collar of the Order of the Elephant on this occasion not the sash as usually. For the Queen i think either the baden palmette tiara or the floral aigrette Saturday and on Sunday i hope for the emerald parure. Too bad she can not wear the rubies it would be perfect for her ruby anniversary. My guess is for Mary on Satruday her Wedding tiara and on Sunday the rubies.
As for the greeks if both Tatiana and Theodora attend i guess one of them will borrow the circle tiara from Princess Irene.

Madeleine will be at a dinner on march 15th.If it's tiara event,I think she will wear the Modern Fringe tiara.I also predict that Silvia will wear the Nine Prong tiara.

Charles and Camilla are heading to Scandinavia at the end of the month. Query what sparklers Camilla will get out for the dinners in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Collet necklace? Saudi emeralds or sapphires? Other diamond necklace used in Spain last year? Do we think the Greville 3 string diamond necklace might appear? What about the Greville emerelds?
