:previous: I fear you will. The ruby tiara is very low on the Queen's priority list.

Oh well, no tiaras in Ireland, so that was a disappointment. But as it's no use to cry about spilled milk, let's focus on the next tiara event.

It seems like the SV from the US to Britain will go ahead as planned, and there's no chance that the Queen will have a State Banquet with suits as dress code. But since the Queen is the only one who chooses from a larger pool of tiaras, guessing British events is not to exciting. Camilla and Kate always wear the same, Meghan is on maternity leave.

But next month there's always the national day gala in Luxembourg. I do hope that all four royal ladies will attend (and be photographed) this year. There is always a good chance for one of the younger ladies to wear a tiara for the first time. I think that either Stephanie or Claire could wear the small floral tiara this year. Or Princess Alexandra might try the saphire laurel tiara from GD Adelaide.

The only small problem is we may only have a caretaker PM by the time
Mr Trump is scheduled to arrive. If that is indeed the case, might the state visit go ahead?

Oh dear, I hadn't thought about that. There have been so many cancelled State Visits of late that we should get used to it. Luxembourg has recently called of a SV because GD Jean had passed on. But I think enough time has passed to go ahead with the national day gala as usual. Or do you think that they will tone it down, or something?

It has indeed been a boring first five monhts of 2019 when it comes to tiara watching. I really hope that the fall will treat us better, but I'm personally already putting my hope to Queen Margrethe next April.

What about the US State Visit to Japan next week? What do we know about the program, and could we expect a white tie state banquet?

Japan only does white tie for incoming monarchs. So we shouldn't expect tiaras there.

Queen Margrethe's 80th BD surely will be celebrated in great style. But that is nearly a year away. There's the Belgium visit to Luxembourg this autumn, I think. That should be quite nice. I do hope, that all Luxembourg princesses will attend.

Dissapointed to see that the dresscode wasn't white tie and not even black tie for the State visit in Ireland. That means the swedish Royals still haven't had any tiara events this year and we are already at the end of May :( Must be some kind of record....

There is the Court Banquets during the Japanese Enthronement Ceremonies this autumn, to wich foreign royals are expected to at least one if them i think ?

Queen Margrethe will host a gala dinner to celebrate Prince Joachim’s 50th birthday at Amalienborg on 7 June.
Can we expect tiaras?

There was a gala dinner with tiaras for Frederik's 50's birthday, but he's the crown prince after all. So I'm not having my hopes up high for this event. I think it will be comparable with Benedikte's birthday gala without tiaras.

The Banquet in Japan sounds far more promising. That's a highly important event that should be celebrated with all the stops pulled. It will be great to see Masako and Kiko in their new tiaras again. The chrysanthemum tiara on Masako would be so great to see. Though I think it will be the scroll tiara for the second time.

I suppose the Dutch SV to Ireland will be without tiaras as well then. What a bummer.

I suspect Max might wear some form of hair ornament, like she did in Paris a few years ago.

Yes alas President Higgins is a life long Socialist and is sadly not cut in the same cloth as his predecessors Mary I/II who enjoyed the pomp of State Visits.

Knowing Queen Máxima, she will "compensate" with other sparkling jewels. There is more than a monture filled with gemstones in the hairdo, of course.

Unfortunately, I also believe that Joachim's Birthday dinner will be black tie and no tiaras like Benedikte's.

Pity as I was very looking forward to seeing Queen Máxima sparkle at St Patrick's Hall.

Now that we have some clarity on the future of the current PM, we know the state visit will go ahead as previously planned. Look forward to seeing the ladies of the BRF in their usual tiaras.

Do you think that Mrs Trump will wear a tiara?

No I do not believe that the FLOTUS will wear a tiara. I wouldn't be surprised though if she wears a statement necklace and/or earrings for the State Banquet.

I'm wondering about the tiara situation as well. Not just the first lady but it was announced yesterday, Ivanka and Tiffany Trump are attending as well.

As we get closer to the state visit for the POTUS, I am hoping CAtherine will wear either the Nizam necklace or the Gereville ruby bandeau necklace one more time.

State visits from South Korea to Norway and Sweden coming up in June. I guess it will pretty business as usual, but nevertheless very anticipated tiara sightseeings for these ladies.

Norway - June 12th
Queen Sonja - Queen Maud's Diamond and Pearl Tiara, large setting
Crown Princess Mette Marit - Diamond Daisy (if attending)
Princess Astrid - The Vasa Tiara

Sweden - June 14th
Queen Silvia - Nine Prong Tiara
Crown Princess Victoria - The Baden Fringe Tiara
Princess Sofia - Wedding Tiara with pearls
Princess Madeleine - Modern Fringe Tiara (if attending)

It's good to finally see some tiaras again!

Queen Sonja: the diamond tiara
CP Mette-Marit: I agree, the daisy tiara (I really hope that she will be well and attending).
Princess Astrid: I fear she will wear her aigrette, probably the winged version

Queen Silvia: Nine prongs
Victoria: laurel tiara
Sofia: her own, small version
Madeleine: probably not attending

I would love to see the Kokoshnik may an appearance again, but I will be just as happy with the Girls and the 3 string collet collier.

It would be great if Camilla used the Greville festoon necklace in three string form.

My guesses for the US state visit to the U.K. :

Elizabeth: Girls of Great Britain tiara
Kate: Lovers knot tiara
Camilla: Honeycomb tiara
Princess Anne: Festoon tiara
Sophie: Five Aquamarine tiara

US to UK:
QEII - GDV with pearl? seriously have no idea
Camilla - honeycomb tiara, hopefully Delhi Durbar tiara or even her family tiara
Kate- Lovers Knot tiara, hopefully her wedding tiara
Anne - Meander tiara
Sophie - aquamarine necklace tiara

South Korea to Norway:
Sonja - Maud's pearl tiara (large setting), hopefully Josephine's diamond tiara
Mette-Marit - the amethyst tiara
Astrid - the wing aigrette

South Korea to Sweden:
Silvia - the large cut steel tiara or the ruby tiara
Victoria - the laurel wreath tiara
sofia- wedding tiara sans pearls or emeralds

:previous: I feel your pain as IMO they were some of they most beautiful and elegantly set turquoises in the royal vaults around Europe I wish the parure were in returned to the BRF but they unequivocally belonged to Princess Margaret so unless she disposed of them before her death, but I think perhaps Peter or Sarah have them. They were so much a part of her mother that they would make an ideal memento . . . provided they were worn but then again they could be anywhere.

While I have not seen them in a sale, there is no reason to believe that they too were sold by Peter and/or Sarah in a private sale and we may never see them again.
