I really like this coat. It's becautiful and looks comfortable (it's not too tight). I would be happy to wear one myself if it wasn't that expensive.

Very smart coat but I hate those buttons. Big, metallic buttons look trashy unless on uniforms IMO.

I wouldn't say "trashy," but I don't like them either. Otherwise, she looks phenomenal, which is par for the course. I can't recall a time she really set a foot wrong with her wardrobe.

She mostly has great taste and I love her in tailored clothes and evening wear. Sometimes she looks stunning and her outfits are perfection. However, I really dislike the frumpy dresses she occasionally wears, which are that awful, granny style (speaking as a granny myself I wouldn't be seen dead in one of those). Did I mention I also hate big metallic buttons? :)

My God how can she walk to this floor with these hills? Even for a few steps.
Elegant coat but I dislike the buttons. Too flashy

I know right! I live in a city that has some cobblestone streets, whenever I'm out for a walk to exercise, I take is slowly on those roads and I'm wearing sneakers.

Catherine is looking smart in Wales today. Black and red is not an easy combination, but she seems to have pulled it off well.

Was just thinking the same and the Princess has carried it off perfectly.

Lovely shade of red (appropriate for Wales) and very smart with the all black top & trousers. My minor gripes are that the buttons and gold chain thing cheapen the coat IMO and I wish she'd keep her hair off her face eg keeping the top & sides tied/pinned back would still allow all her lovely, long hair to show at the back.

This coat seems cozy. I also dislike the gold buttons and chains though.

The gold buttons and chains are all very trendy these days. I fear we are headed straight back to the last 1980s and early 1990s.

Ah - the era style forgot. "It's Lacroix sweetie - Lacroix" :)

I always considered Black and Red as the easiest combination and I have never seen anyone looking bad in it.

Dislike the gold buttons and chains and am in general not a friend of women in trousers. But thats a personal preference.

I like the red and black, and can live with the buttons and chains. But the purse/handbag looks out of place. I'm sure she needed a place for her lipstick and cellphone.

Meh...I do love the purse though

The thing about so many of her outfits is they could be regarded as ‘meh’, but she is always well turned out and has a wardrobe which does the job perfectly and rarely detracts attention from the engagement. Her choices of colour, designer and jewellery frequently show a sensitivity to the occasion. Yes, I like interesting fashion choices, but I admire the Princess of Wales ( and her stylists) for her consistently polished appearances - she so rarely gets it wrong.

I think I'm alone in this, but I like her pant suits.

No you're not. I always like to see her wear pantsuits than her usual coat dresses.

I agree too. I always think it’s a great look for less formal daytime events like this last engagement.
