I remember when Charles was named Prince of Wales. He took the that a whole lot more seriously than many thought at the time. His first real move was to immerse himself in Welsh history and language and did not stop when he had learnt the required words of the ceremony. The previous PoW certainly didn't.
Charles hitched his future to Wales and later added the Duchy of Cornwall and now is becoming more buried in Affairs of State for the Queen. But I think Wales stole a piece of his heart back then.
More and more he is relaxed and let's his affection show and the love he has for his country. More is achieved through love of country than it ever was duty.
