I think it is not only good timing, but even strategic timing to show the king and the heirs to counterbalance the fuss about CPh and Sofia's interview. Incedentally I hope they will calm down now that they are engaged. Excessive attention on them would be good for the monarchy.

I would also welcome from time to time a picture of Estelle with her father. However on this one it is normal that Queen Silvia and Daniel do not appear.
 
Margareta Thorgren from the press department tells that the royal family have now vacation in July and part of August. Everyone comes to Victoria's birthday. The king and Queen come from St. Maxime and Madeleine comes with her family from the Stockholm archipelago where they have spent time with friends. Victoria and Daniel have been in Öland for some time already. And Thorgren says that Sofia will attend at the official celebration, she can do it now when they are engaged. Carl Philip races in Falkenberg on Friday and Saturday and comes then to Öland. Thorgren tells that the royal family spends their vacation like all people, they relax. The king loves to drive a tractor, which he can do in Solliden.

King Carl Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will pay more in property tax. The Swedish Tax Agency has decided that the family taxable incomes are increased because of their properties in Solliden on Öland.
There are changes in property stocks which is why the Tax Agency makes this decision.
For the King's part, it is 1 920 SEK for land. Ahead of the tax year, the King cut of a plot valued at 256,000 SEK. This elevates the entire property base from 6 130 600 to 6 386 600.

For Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel it is cheaper per person. They have to pay 1500 SEK each for the couple's property. Tax Agency evaluates construction to 300 000, which means a state property tax of 1 percent.
- The explanation of the change in property tax assessments is the building that was constructed in 2013 to Solliden as the Crown Princess Couple's summer residence. Nothing strange and everything is in order, says Margareta Thorgren.

The king gave today an audience to prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt (this wasn't at the calendar). Also queen Silvia, crown princess Victoria and prince Daniel attended. The Prime Minister told them among other things, about his forthcoming trip to the United Nations and New York.

Under the Swedish constitution, the King, unlike his counterparts in other European countries, is no longer part of the government. The constitution mandates, however, that the King, as Head of State, be kept informed of government affairs. The King meets then regularly with the PM and also holds (roughly four times a year) Councils of State with the full cabinet of ministers.

The Speaker of the Riksdag, who is responsible under he constitution for nominating a new PM to the parliament following a general election, has also been keeping the King informed about the negotiations to form the new government.
 
On Friday, October 3rd, a cabinet council will take place at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. During the council, which preliminary starts at noon, the Speaker of the Riksdag will present the new government for the King, and thereby the new government has officially taken office. The Crown Princess will also attend the cabinet council.

After the cabinet council the King invites the new government to a luncheon. There will the King, Queen, Crown Princess and Prince Daniel attend.

Yes, the reporter of SVT told about this already at the broadcast from the Opening of the Parliament. This is a special cabinet briefing, so called "Skifteskonselj".

Even normally always after "normal" cabinet briefing, where the king and crown princess attend, is held a lunch, where the queen and prince Daniel also attend. The lunch isn't at the royal calendar, but you can see them at the Annual Report.

Yes exactly, the normal cabinet council is called "informationskonselj". That usually takes place three to four times a year.

After receipt the new government the king, queen, crown princess and prince Daniel give a Lunch in the castle.
 
Expressen tells, that prime minister Löfven had planned to tell himself at the cabinet meeting about his ministers and why he chose these people to the government.
But the king changed Löfven's plan, he wanted instead that the prospective ministers themselves would tell about how they look at their future tasks and challenges.

King Carl Gustaf and queen Silvia met the President of Austria, Heinz Fischer and mrs Margit Fischer at the Royal Palace. Prince Carl Philip had been welcoming then at the airport. He attended also at the lunch, where was invited people from the parliament, government, culture and business life. Also conductor Riccardo Muti attended. Mrs Margit Fischer speaks swedish fluently.

The king and Victoria attended on Wednesday at the Stockholm Environmental Institute's 25th anniversary celebrations, Symposium - "Stories from a World of Change". The king held a welcoming speech.
