She is very beautiful and the dress is quite lovely, but is it just me and my eyes, or does it look like she has put on some weight?
I thought she had put on some weight in the pics taken of her at the King's Birthday celebrations in her pink lace dress.
Maybe it's just that she is not as "tan" as I am used to seeing her?
In either case, she still looks extremely pretty.

Thanks for the pictures, Adry. The King and Queen look lovely. Shame that Madeleine couldn't make this one. Seems like she enjoys coming out to events that have a lot of exposure and then not be heard of for awhile. It keeps her in the spotlight but allows her to have an ounce of privacy. Hopefully we'll see her doing more duties in Sweden when she gets back.

The ASF, a non-profit organization will present awards to His Excellency Martti Ahtisaari, former President of The Republic of Finland and The Honorable Robin Chandler Duke, former US Ambassador to Norway.

Daughter-parents day out!

Today Aftonbladet tells us that yesterday Friday, during the day, Princess Madeleine took her parents, the King and Queen, on a shopping spree around New York.

In a caravan of six cars, Madeleine and her parents visited many of New York's most exclusive shops, starting at the Upper East Side (where apprently the King and Queen were staying during their trip) and moving towards the more hip shops in Soho, and som departments stores in Midtown in between.

They also managed to pay a visit to the Museum of Modern Art.

I loved the dresses of Madeleine and Silvia at the first gala. Madeleine seems to have put on a bit of weight as some people have pointed out but she still looks beutiful, i only miss a necklace to complete the look. The Queen wears a lovely dress witch i love on her and i can´t remember seeing that necklace before, does anyone else know anything about it?

Madeleine and Jonas met the royal couple for brunch at "The boathouse" yesterday. Jonas and the King drank Bloody Marys and beers.
They have had a fantastic time together in New York says a friend. Madeleine is happy that her mom and dad approves of Jonas as her future husband.
During the three hour meal Jonas made the King laught.
"The King sees himsellf in Jonas. They like eachother. He thinks Jonas are the perfect husband for Madeleine"

The royal couples PR trip ended friday, but they stayed in New York to be able to spend time with Madeleine and Jonas Bergström.
Yesterday they took a long walk in central Park and made reservations at the Boat house. Jonas and the King sat next to eachother facing Madeleine and Silvia.
The King and Jonas drank bloody Marys, while queen Silvia had mimosa, champagne and orange juice. Jonas ordered to glasses of Stella Artois beer for himself and the king.

After the brunch the royal couple strolled alone through Central park and were met by Jonas and Madeleine on fifth avenue. Madeleine kissed her mother farewell and the King gave Jonas a hug.
Then Jonas and Madeleine waved in a yellow cab-
" Soho, please" Madeleine said to the driver.
Shopping on Prince street were next on the list.

The dress was wear the queen at first Gala is on old dress. She wear it at first time on official pictures on 1993 and at least by state visit in Finland August 2003.

The dress was wear the queen at 12th May is old, too. The skirt she wear is from birthday-Gala (30th April) and the blouse from 1984 state visit in Brasil.

But two dresses the queen wear looks beautiful.
