The dress is far too short for a dinner and more suited to nightclub attire.

She is a model and probably has a contract with the designer of that dress.
That is the reason she is wearing it, the posing shows it. If it was a private party she wouldn't pose like this and maybe wear another dress.

If you go out on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday night for dinner in my not that big Scandinavian town you'll see young ladies wearing something in the style of what Princess Olympia is wearing.
She's not going to church, she's out to enjoy herself and yes, she's probably being sponsored by the designer.
