I really like the three looks
but my favourite is the blue evening gown is so beautiful!

  Excuse me??! Q.Silvia doesn't have a beautiful face??! Correct me if I'm wrong, you're the one who told us on Letizia's thread that all of us who dislike her current 'trendy' outfits and platform shoes have low & bad taste, right? :whistling: Welcome to the board and enjoy your stay then!! :flowers:

The amethyst gown is really beautiful! Q.Silvia looks stunning these days IMO.
lets not get personal and start misquoting people. i believe the bad and low taste was your phrase, i was just running with it  the queen has an awesome figure for her age but yeah, her face has been impacted by all that plastic surgery
also, just quietly, whats my post abt letizia's clothes got to do with sylvia's figure?

Both posts were quite entertaining, that's all.:flowers: :p Opinions may differ, but if, for example, next time you tell us that Q.Rania is disgustingly ugly and fat, this doesn't mean that you're right and/or we need glasses ... :whistling: Huh?

Ok, yesterday's yellow suit is as beautiful as the previous ones. Beautiful colour on Q.Silvia!

im getting increasingly confused by your posts noor. not sure we're trying to have a beneficial conversation anymore...theres rania added to the mix now?
the simplest way of explaining what im thinking is this: letizia's clothes: hideous or not is subjective (btw, i think the last few ones was actually pretty bad. but thats just my opinion and im happily aware of that. i was only reacting to post after post convinced that those who didnt think it was awful must have bad taste). sylvia's face's beauty: also subjective (i think the surgeries {which are all but obvious}have decreased the effect. im not sure what exactly is your opinion but ah well
now im going to sign off before im pulled up for deviating from topic. (apologies already mods!)
but it seems we can agree that this trip she (sylvia ie!) has worn lovely clothes

Perfect suit, pillbox is very 60's, but I like it. She wore fantastic jewelery.

Great outfit! I like everything about it: the colour is lovely, so is the coat and the pillbox hat. A simple and elegant look. Thumbs up. :flowers:

Q.Silvia never ceases to impress me!!!!! She looks wonderful, regal and super chic once again.

It is a very busy dress, I wish we could see a better picture. :)

The dress is by Jacques Zehnder, hand-embroidered in flower applications and beads all over, and was first worn during a state visit to Austria in 2007:

IBL Bildbyrå - Royaltyfria bilder, historiska bilder, illustrationsbilder med mera.

Not a real favorite of mine, because the embroidery is indeed rather too busy, but I suspect it certainly looks better in reality than it photgraphs.
The matching stole for example is of very light and transparent ottoman fabric, which does not come across in pics.

After arriving late the first day, Queen Silvia did come to the Theater performance during the intermission, wearing the avantgarde red Yuki dress from the Nobel Awards 2007, along with the Leuchtenberg sapphire parure.
Did anyone come across a picture of her from that first night?

Very elegant coat dress - she wear it in the Swedish Embassy in Brasil last month!

It's pity that we don't see pic of the queen on 15th April 2010 in Copenhagen with Leuchtenberg Tiara. She should wear a red(?) dress!

Queen Silvia in Denmark today, most elegant in a simple, perfectly tailored light silver grey coat dress, just-a-bit-cheeky pillbox hat and the historic pearls of Queen Josefina.
Quite beautiful:

As I said above, with the sapphires she wore the red Yuki dress from the Nobel Award Ceremony 2007.
I hope some pictures might still surface.

If I had seen this gown on anyone else, I wouldn't have liked it at all. But it's always the wonderful Q.Silvia - doesn't need much to shine!!! :flowers:

Queen Silvia tonight at the gala dinner of the 59th World Baden-Powell Fellowship Event Scout Foundation in Monaco.

Not her best looks. The hair doesn´t look good and I think that black and white isn´t the best combination for her.

I actually like the look - the black & white gown is sleeveless with a seperate train flaring out from under a low neckline in the back. The matching wrap and her set of black pearl jewelry, to which apparently a new brooch was added, complement the dress nicely.
With the slim silhouette and in the stark, graphic black & white, it's an elegant overall look IMO.

I agree with Boris here. Q.Silvia looks very chic IMO. I like the colours, the accessories/jewels and even the hair.

At least is an interesting dress, although I don't like it

Yesterday the queen wear the same dress and coat as 2007 by the kings birthday!
The lavender coat with its eye-catching lapels is definitely a favorite - Queen Silvia has worn it a lot, maybe rather too frequently.
It was first seen during a 2006 state visit to Canada, and if I remember correctly it's by Armani.

Boris, I know it - but it's not good, that the queen wear the same dress/coat on the same event as the world look to Sweden!

This lavender coat is one of a kind! It has such an interesting design. Q.Silvia looked fantastic, though she wore too many jewels IMO.

Why too many jewels?
Maybe you're referring to the colorful bracelet she's wearing with her watch: That's the new, 'formal' version of the charity bracelet from Queen Silvia's 'World Childhood Foundation'. Each pendant is meant to represent one article of the UN declaration of The Rights of The Child.

Thanks for the information Boris! It's not just the bracelet (and since it has a special meaning, it's more than fine). I think she wore different kind of jewels that clash (pearls with that blue brooch and a watch with a black, probably leather, strap, and a gold ring and then this bracelet). My point is she would have looked far more elegant if she hadn't used some of these jewels, but she still looks fantastic, as I said above. :flowers:

True, the jewelry is a bit mis-matched...
...especially as the multi-colored pearls necklace is part of a set which includes matching earrings, and the flower brooch is part of a set with has matching earrings as well.
The double-faced watch is usually worn showing two different times when one of her children is in another time zone, and of course Princess Madeleine is six hours away currently. ;)

I like the design of the top part of this coat. Jewelry is a bit mismatched which surprises me as Silvia is usually spot on.
