Not sure what she was thinking, the print is so aging IMO and so is the colors. The fit of the dress is quite nice though.

Horrid print. She has had better gowns.

I agree she has better gowns but I like this very much for the music competition. The event is not formal-formal but much more casual formal. I like the Japonesque or Art Deco (to me) style of the print. It's fun and even a queen deserves to wear something fun from time to time.

The green dress is very stunning. One of Mathilde's best dresses.

So chic and elegant !! Beautiful color!

Great colour, good style - but isn´t it a bit toooo big?

I agree , we did not see her arms when she was waving.

A nice red dress on queen Mathilde but I don't like her earrings or bangle.

The red dress is very beautiful.

Is this at evening? The Belgian Queen seems not aware of the rule that hats are not worn after 18.00 o'clock. She made the same little faux-pas on the last day of the State Visit to the Netherlands, when she left Heeze Castle after a tête-à-tête and a farewell ceremony with the Baron and Baroness Van Tuyll van Serooskerken née Röell (representing King Willem-Alexander). It was very dark and she still wore a hat: picture.

Mrs May and the Duchess of Cambridge are also apparently wearing hats . I suppose they assume it is OK because there is still plenty of daylight in the evening at this time of the year.

An exquisite grey dress. She looks divine.

I agree it is appropriate, but I am not impressed with it.
It looks too fussy. It would be better minus the lace overdress.

Queen Mathilde looks so elegant at the Battle of Passchendaele Memorial.
