Queen Mary's Daytime Fashion Part 1: January 2024 -

It is fine if she doesn’t move. I saw a couple shots of her walking on another site which I can’t attach, and the skirt and the coat have very awkwardly placed slits which don’t really accommodate walking and look uncomfortable

Queen Mary looks stunning! I adored this outfit the first time she wore it and love seeing it again. Love the addition of the headband/scarf in her hair...adds a nice balance. The repeat coat is the perfect addition to complete the outfit. So elegant, chic and classic, yet looks modern. Perfection from head to toe!

perfect skirt and blouse. Just classic, elegant and still modern.
lovely tone of blue

Great autumn colors for Queen Mary on day two of the ascension visit to Germany.

It’s certainly an unusual colour combination and not one that I think works well. However, if you compare the first and third pics I think the actual colour of the jacket is more of a brown shade.

I actually like the combination. Orange and Brown scream Autumn for me. And the blouse! lovely, hope we see it soon without the jacket

she added a longer jacket and scarf for the ferry ride and afternoon

very chic
I like it too! Very autumnal. I do think the colors go together. Every outfit does not require it to be matchy matchy. In fact, many times an outfit is comprised of complementary colors. I love that she steps out of the box and surprises. Every event does not require a coat dress or like I said "matchy matchy". If you also look also the pieces are all mostly warm tones that do actually go together. I think she looks great and refreshing!

I read the description of the jacket as burgundy. Perhaps it just photographs that way.
If it truly is brown, it works better with the pants. (I think burgundy and orange is a hideous combination).

Looking back at more pictures I would say the jacket is a very deep burgundy, so dark it can appear dark brown. If you look at her blouse, the creamy white background and deep burgandy floral with the jacket works with the dark burnt-orange pants. Obviously this look isn't for everyone.
