I love Q Bea's royal style- its all her own, very bold, regal and unique. She reall knows how to look like a Queen with her clothing choices! Anyone know what designer's she uses most?

O am not quite sure if this particular outfit will be worn again anytime soon for events taking place in artificial light - the light reflecting on the shiny fabric of skirt produces a 'nude' effect, making the fabric appear transparent, which is rather funny:

IMHO, Queen Beatrix' style is certainly as unique as it is weird. A very individual style beyond any kind of fashion, but frequently not exactly elegant IMO.
As far as I know, she does not use any designer but a personal Dutch dressmaker who creates her outfits following HM's wishes.
I don't exactly undertand her constant use of over-the-top elaborate Indian fabrics, or the strange cuts with stand up collars, trumpet sleeves and drop waists. What I like best about her style are the billowing capes the uses, as seen here.

Boris, I love these bellowing capes too- especially that touch of fur on the edges. I agree the nude/sheer look on HM thighs are not the best in photographs. I do, however feel that Q Bea knows what collar or neckline to use on her bodystyle/neckline, and enjoy seeing what they create for her. The fabrics seem to be strange.

I am much more impressed with Beatrix's fashion sense and style than say, Q Margarthe, or Q Elizabeth II or even Duchy of Cornwall. Additionally, I think Q Sonja, Q Sofia, and Q Silvia do queenly fashion it better than Bea. Be that as it may, only my opinion....

Love the cape... very classic and elegant

I love the Queen' s hats.
Indeed there are too many to count. Has anyone ever seen if she recycles them?

Has anyone noticed the lovely hatpins? They are great.

I like both outfits very much.

The best outfit is from arrival. I like the color and the cut of the jacket. The brooch is a fantastic addiction.

Queen Beatrix has some very nice outfits on this trip. So far I like all of them!

I don't know what to think about the pink and red outfit. :ermm: The hat is nice.
The black outfit is nice but she looks like she's going to a funeral instead of an opera.

The red hat is so typical Beatrix. :flowers: I like the black outfit, but I agree with Opal - it's VERY dark for visiting the opera.

Queen Beatrix unveiled a monument which is a sculpture of a box
full of balloons symbolizing vulnerability, festivities and mourning.

A very emotional ceremony..
