I had never seen her wear the emerald parure and Queen Josefina's Diamond tiara. Wow!
She was such a stunning young woman too.
I wonder who's gonna get Queen Alexandra's circlet.

Hopefully it will not suffer the same fate as Queen Maud's diamond tiara and being locked away for decades after it has returned to the main line.

I'd forgotten that Princess Astrid had given her grandniece,Princess Ingrid Alexandra a bracelet from her collection to mark her Confirmation in 2019.

It makes sense for the larger jewels to go back to the main line while the aigrette remains in the family. In that way they still have something small to wear on the very few occassions they might want/need to.

Hopefully that will happen and I can't picture anyone else other that Astrid wearing one her unique aigrettes!

I very much look forward, in time, to seeing the jewellery on Queen Mette-Marit.

Princess Astrid of Norway wore Duchess Pauline’s Gold Bandeau Tiara for the banquet during the state visit from Tanzania at the Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway on 13 February 2024.

Its not a favourite of mine but Princess Astrid wears it well and it looks good on the kings sister!

How many Kings did the Princess serve 3 or 4 (red ribon) Haakon, Olav and Harald .

There are only three to have served in the modern norwegian monarchy. Therefor three family orders. If she survives her brother that will be four. I notice she has still not worn the Vasa tiara since princess Ingrids 18th birthday, its my wish they have reserved it for her, not to be outgifted by her late sister🫣

It is confirmed by historian Trond N. Isaksen that this will return to the main line of the NRF together with at least the Turquoise crown.
I am sure, in time, Mette-Marit and Ingrid Alexandra would put those tiaras to good use!

Lets not derail this thread as that was previously discussed in This Thread

This tiara also returned to the main line and is now worn by Princess Ingrid Alexandra:
Princess Ragnhild received this tiara as a gift from her grandmother and godmother Princess Ingeborg. It was hers to dispose of as she wanted, and she decided, together with her children, that it should become an 18th birthday gift to Princess Ingrid Alexandra.

Princess Astrid also got a tiara from her grandmother Princess Alexandra: the golden bandeau. This one might be left to her children.

Afaik, many of the other large jewels of Ragnhild and Astrid are somewhat lifelong loans to them. So the Vasa tiara is probably destined to return to the main line. I believe that the turquoise tiara, the bracelet / bandeau of CP Märtha, and Queen Maud's Diamond tiara fall into the same category and will make their way back to the main line.

Princess Astrid has said to Trond Noren Isaksen that the bracelet/bandau after CP Martha is going to her children, as well as the gold parure and the aigrettes.

Princess Astrids collection of turquoise jewellery is one of the greatest in Europe, a tiara, several necklaces, brooch, a giant stomacher, earrings, all old and with much history.

Sometimes one can hope, that Princess Astrid has changed her mind since that book about Astrid and interview was made. I don't see any logical reason to give tiaras to commoners/normal citizens. They will for sure never have use for them in the future. Maybe a deal with Haakon when he is in charge could make it possible to keep the jewellery intact. Also in Tronds new book, there are mentioned a couple of gigantic diamond earrings. They have been worn by Astrid many times and maybe one of her daughter once. But these were willed to Prince Harald to be worn for a future crown princess/queen together with the Josefine tiara, a large floral brooch etc. Astrid has the earrings and I have not seen them worn for many years.
