Edwin again, as posted by Henri M. on the Benelux royals MB yesterday (as I do not see the message here yet I repost it here, I hope you don't mind):

'Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn, the estranged spouse of Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme is candidate for an unknown (to me) party called the NKP (Nederlands Klokkenluiders Partij), I don't know how to translate it: Netherlands Bell-tollers Party?

A 'klokkenluider' (someone who is tolling the bells) is a synonym for a person who is making inside information public to nail an organization, for an example for fraud, chaos, illegal activities.
Picante: if Edwin succeeds in getting elected, he can become invited at Noordeinde Palace to advice The Queen on the formation of a new Cabinet.
happy.gif
The chances that Edwin will be elected looks minimal to me. There is a hard battle for the premiership between the present Premier Jan Peter Balkenende (christian-democrats) and the leader of the opposition Wouter Bos (Labour). This clash causes that people will vote strategically to get their favourite Premier instead of 'wasting' it to 'fun-parties'. '

Minimal indeed Marengo. The NKP("Whistle-blower Party")withdrew from the elections today, the ill "famous" EdRvZ nagging that it's almost impossible "to fight"the established parties,to much red-tape to go through, and above all, they got subsidised while new parties are not.......
(And thank goodness for that,imho).

Well, that was the end of that, what's next with this freakshow I wonder?:flowers:

That man really seems to lack ANY form of self reflection!

Next part? Maybe stalking? From what I read in de Telegraaf (newspaper) a few years ago he seems to have a record of that to.

End of the marriage between Princess Margarita and Edwin

Today the Amsterdam Court of Justice will declare for ended, the marriage between:

Dr. Edwin Willem Karel de Roy van Zuydewijn
(Amsterdam, 19 June 1966)

and

Her Royal Highness Princess Margarita María Beatriz de Bourbon de Parme, Countess de Colorno
(Utrecht, 13 October 1972)

With this and end has come over one of the most stormy marriages in today's Netherlands royal family.
The couple married on June 19th 2001, so the marriage did last 5 years and 5 month.

In the meantime the mother of Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn, mrs. Wijnande Eleonore van Gulden, has declared that it is not Edwin who ruïned Princess Margrarita as the media reports. It seems the other way round: the Princess has laid a claim on all Edwin's accounts and possessions, which are barred now for Edwin.

He stays in his mother's house and has no access to his possessions. Today mrs. Van Gulden will give an interview in the current affairs program 'One Today' and the program claims to show never seen documents which will back Edwin's statements that the royal family has structurally obstructed him.

It is official now: the marriage has ended

The Amsterdam Court of Justice has declared the marriage between Edwin & Margarita ended.

Princess Margarita was the one who requested the end of the marriage, she made her request in August 2004, more than two years ago.
In March 2005 the Princess temporarily withdrew her request, for unknown reasons. Edwin has always fought against the requested divorce because he saw enough chances to heal the 'disturbed' marriage.

The Amsterdam Court of Justice thought that Princess Margarita had sufficiently made clear why she saw no grounds anymore for the continuation of the marriage. The Amsterdam Court of Justice agreed with the Princess' request and has declared the marriage for ended, this afternoon.

Edwin requested a monthly allowance of € 5.000,-- (appr. $ 6,500.--) from Princess Margarita because he claimed that -by acts and deeds of the Princess and the royal family- he was unable to find a job. The Amsterdam Court of Justice dismissed this request.

Last year Edwin requested the Amsterdam Court of Justice to enforce arrangements concerning access to his dog, who was taken back to the Netherlands by Princess Margarita when they separated. Also this request was dismissed.

On January 17th 2007 the Court will handle the final divorce arrangements.

Though a divorce is always a sad afair, in this case it is almost cause to rejoice. Margarita must feel some relief that she finally got rid of that man.
And thankfully he does not get an allowance either.

Did you (Henri) see 1Vandaag? Anything worth seeing? I might watch the repetition, tonight.

According to 'Metro' Princess Margarita will sue a journalist of the weblog witheet (www.witheet.nl) as he wants to publish a book about the marriage of Margarita and Edwin, also with the transcripts of the conversation between Queen Beatrix and the Princess. According to the sollicitor of the Princess this is private and serves no public cause.
Earlier this week the transcripts of the conversation were already published on the weblog itself. Curiously, the weblog is owned by Eric de Vlieger, a businessman who is involved the criminal circuit and who has recently been accused of extortion and blackmail. Earlier it was already reported that this businessman is one of the financers of Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn.
-
According to Metro, a high source in the palace said that they were scared that the tape of the conversation will be made public, as they feard something of a rap-song, with Beatrix voice saying 'Margarita er is een duiveltje in je gekropen' (Margarita a little devil has crawled within you).

Margarita also started a lawsuit against tv-programme Barend en van Dorp, earlier this year, for reading passages from the transcript. The judge ruled in favour of Margarita and the television statio had to pay 2500 euros damages (peanuts of course).

This Edwin person, definitly has a personality disorder, or a boardreline one!

Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn featured in a television commercial for headhunter website Monsterboard.nl. In the commercial he is copying the interview that he and Margarita had on a red couch which was shown on RTL news. The couple denied marital problems and gave each other an akward kiss and hug. Just a few weeks later they split up.

Can this guy get anymore rediculous? He is now exploiting his own misfortune for money. I feel sorry for Margarita who is not totally able to close that horrid period in her life due to the behavior of Edwin.

In the mean time several advertisors withdrew from Monsterboard.nl as they found the commercial lacking in taste.

I thought that this story was more or less closed:bang:

Sadly it is not, the guy makes appearances every now and then, but the total amount of his media exposure has been declining fastly. These days the serious press is not that interested anymore, but for entertainment programmes his excentricities can be interesting.

Sad but true.
None told him that he makes a fool by himself?

Edwin will definitely make history.
As the saddest Dutch C-celeb that is...

Not to defend him but there aren't another thousand ways for him to make a living other than making a fool out of himself for clever advertisers who realize that if they put Edwin in an ad, it will certainly draw attention.

What I mean is: who else would employ this guy at this point? Edwin has to make a living after all. The DRF should have been wiser and given him some alimony on the condition he keeps his mouth shut about them.

Yesterday a presenter of SBS Shownews said Edwin moved from his motherts house to a room in Amsterdam ('3 hoog achter') -3 stories high at the backside of a house. With a vicious smile she added that that was quite a change from his castle in France.

Today the site zijonline (gossip-site, so not that reliable) claims to have tapes of the conversations of Edwin de Roy, Princess Margarita with HP/de Tijd reporter Thieu Vaessen. According to the site the Princess tells that she was sexually abused by her brother Carlos when she was 12 years old.

Later today the site also reports that this information was all found in some documentation that Edwin de Roy gave to businessman Roctus, as a guarentee for a loan. They further reported that Margarita had to go to a psychiatrist due to this alleged sexual abuse.

RTL boulevard reported yesterday that this site also has the recordings of the conversations of Margarita and her aunt Beatrix. According to Peter van der Vorst the site will put them online today, but nothing is there yet.

Added to that it was reported on SBS shownews yesterdayu that Edwin de Roy was 'stalked' in a restaurant by a woman. The lady apparently used some inproper language towards him.

I didn't think the whole 'Margarita and Edwin' saga could get anymore shocking, but I'm obviously proven wrong here. This is a very serious allegation re. Carlos. Have to say I do not believe a word of it because both Edwin and Margarita have been proven a bit, well, delusional in the past (what with being sure a nail in the wall was actually a microphone collecting their every move, which was proven false).

If I were Margarita I'd come with a public statement denying these allegations towards her brother. These kinds of rumors could easily otherwise ruin his reputation, and, well, his life.

Edwin starts a lawsuit against his former spouse

The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reports in an article about a lawsuit started by Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn.

Here a translated summary for you:

Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn wants to start a lawsuit against his former spouse Her Royal Highness Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme, Countess de Colorno (niece and godchild to Queen Beatrix).

De Roy van Zuydewijn wants his movables back. These are stored for more than 18 months now because Princess Margarita has ordered to get these seized. Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn in today's broadcast of the current affairs program 'One Today': "We have tried to arrange all this, the movables and everything. But there never came a reaction from Margarita's lawyers. It was agreed that all would be settled before March 14, well: that term has lapsed."

No any media has picked it up.
Zij Online 's credibility and level really is below zero. It is just one of those trash sites, one of the ongoing cancers of the internet medium.

Edwin gave a interview to the newspaper Metro. It was in the newspaper of today.

I read that short interview. He says he will publish his book about his experiences with the RF and that it will be presented at the Frankfurter Buchmesse. It is published by an american publisher and it will target the foreign market. He also says that the commercial that he did on television wasn t to chique but that he needed the money and he says that the acces that he got to his furniture gave him new hopes.

I just read on the Benelux royals MB that he will be on political interview programme Buitenhof, which is aired after the 1205 PM on a sunday (Nederland 1 or 2).

I thought that Buitenhof (The Outer Court) was a renowned opinion-making magazine. I'm amazed that such a program lends itself for Edwin...

:ermm:

I was very much surprised by that to. Last week they had mr Solana and now Edwin de Roy... a bit of a devaluation indeed. I wonder if he will be alone or on a table with other guests. Socialistic Parties Harry van Bommel maybe?

hope for what? surely not that they will get back together again. I will try to watch Buitenhof. I read an interview with him in a womans magazine and he talked about crude banalities regarding Irene, Beatrix and WA, he can not go that way on that programme. He also can not continue to act the sad victim, that is too pathetic. Will be interesting.

You know, I have a question. Why is Margarita a princess to begin with, as her father is simply a duke, and I thought that children took their rank from fathers in most cases. Also, why would she be a royal highness instead of a highness or some such? The article in the telegraaf only refers to her as a princess, so I am rather confused.

Apparently it was all a april fools joke by Marianne on the Benelux Royals MB, so no Edwin de Roy on buitenhof but Femke Halsema instead :).

Her father is a Duke but not an english/noble style duke. The house of Bourbon Parma were the souvereign dukes of Parma and HRH. They descend from a younger son of a King of Spain. As such they belong to the +/- 50 royal families of Europe as was decided by the congress of Vienna.

Here a link to the geneology of the family. Their pedigree is more impressive then the one of the House of Orange IMHO, as direct descendents of Louis XIV, among others.

The father is a Prince

Like Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Prince Philip he is addressed with his dukedom.

On April 8th 1930 he was born as His Royal Highness Charles Hugues Xavier Marie Sixte Louis Robert Jean Georges Benoît Michel, Prince de Bourbon de Parme.

Since May 7th 1977 (death of his father) he is the chef of the House de Bourbon de Parme and since such styled as His Royal Highness Charles Hugues Xavier Marie Sixte Louis Robert Jean Georges Benoît Michel, Duke of Parma, Duke of Piacenza, Prince de Bourbon.

His aunt Zita de Bourbon de Parme was the last Empress of Austria.

His uncle Félix de Bourbon de Parme was the grandfather of the present Grand Duke of Luxembourg.

Etc.

I was in front of the tv too sunday :)

I thought she is a princess because Juliana wanted the title for all her grandchildren, hence the children of van vollenhoven etc.

No, they do not belong to the Royal House of the Netherlands or the House of Orange-Nassau and have no title 'Prince(ss) of the Netherlands' or 'Prince(ss) of Orange-Nassau'.

They belong to the royal family De Bourbon de Parme.

When Edwin said, there are 'real royals' and 'fake royals', there was a certain truth in that: if we follow the male lineage, then the House of Orange-Nassau died with Prince Willem III in 1702. The rights of the Orange-Nassaus were inherited by the collateral branch, the House of Nassau-Dietz. This House on its turn became extinct with the death of Queen Wilhelmina in 1962.

Strictly spoken we do have a Queen from the House of Lippe.
And in the nearby future we will witness the head of an untitled noble family (Von Amsberg) to assume the kingship.
