Nice pictures Lena, thank you for posting them!

I am also one of those people who likes to see Paparazzi pictures of royals - because for them, it comes with the job of being an H.R.H. and in line to the throne!

Poor Madeline. That's a horrible rumor for anyone to face

or is that a complimentary way of saying that she should think about shedding some pounds (or kilograMS)?

Yes it is her nameday today! Her full name is Madeleine Thérèse Amelie Josephine, and today is the nameday for Amelie! Although she might not celebrate it, as is it only her third first name... At least we "normal" people ususally don't, not that we always gave three of four names, but still. :p

On the 30th of April, it's The King's turn to be celebrated. It is Valborgamässoafton (a public holiday both because of The King's birthday and the old tradition of Valborg. My dictionary said it's Walpurgis in English) and his birthday! I suppose there will be the traditional congratulatory call on the courtyard, and I hope for some nice pictures of the flower giving and all that. And hopefully there will also be a photo session to take some official pictures, as is usually done.

So let's hope for many pictures!

Does anyone else feel like we're seeing less and less of Madde these days? Any idea why?
I don´t think, that we´ve seen less of her...but all, what we´ve seen were Paparazzi-pictures (look at the family news-thread...there are new pictures from Sunday)...but no pictures of official dates. Maybe she´s too busy with her studies or she´s just too lazy. Carl Philip "worked" and works more for the Royal court in the last times...on the other hand he is second in line to the throne, and not third.

I expect that we might see her Friday next week as it is her fathers 58th Birthday.

The King is only turning 58? I thought he was older than this?

Yes he turns 58... he was born in 1946...but maybe he looks older, because he don´t go to a plastic surgeon :innocent: ;) Sorry to his and her majesty...really a mean and silly joke

Thanks for the info, Lena. I don't know why I thought that the King was older than the Queen.

He just looks older. He always has looked older than his wife.

Good point about school, Lena. I suppose that her family excuses her from most royal duties as she needs to concentrate on her studies. It's too bad, though. She's such a fascinating young royal!

För fegt, Madde - våga bryta av!

Picture # 1

Picture # 4

Its an article abouth Madeleines choice of clothes. The writer thinks Madeleine is so stylish that she becomes boring. All of her clothes is latest fashion and so matched.
She thinks that someone with an "artistic eye" like Madeleine should be able to put some more "touch" into it.

and the pictures is from Valdemarsudde yesterday...

They are never satisfied! Well, I know she will be in the future but for now she has school. She will be more creative down the road.

I think madde's body types a pear you kno smaller on top bigger on bottom or an hourglass what do you think of this?? victoria is smaller i think too

i agree with you sexyswede, i think made. not thin shes about 42 or 44 franch ,,,more liked 44 she has big bottom.victor. is slimmer than made :flower: :flower:

I would say Madeleine is a Swedish size 38, which would translate into US 8, UK 10.

I occasionaly see her here in Stockholm, and she's definetely not bigger than that.

you mean 38 german size 8 usa its mean 12 uk ....
i dont think that small i think no less than 40 german and swedish its mean 10 usa 14 uk .... :flower: :flower:

NO!!! A US size 8 would be a uk size 10.

Women's Clothing Sizes

UK size 10 12 14 16 18 20
US size 8 10 12 14 16 18
Euro 38 40 42 44 46 48

I really think she's a European size 38-40. That's quite big actually, she surely doesn't look larger than that.

aftonbladet (Swedish newspaper) wrote about the press/media at the wedding thought that her cousin Gistav Magnusson was her fiancé.

I´ve read that too...but where´s the problem? Royals are used to it to marry cousins :p
No, it was indeed not very "good work" of the journalists to assume that Gustav is her boyfriend. Firstly he surely was on the guest list. Secondly Madeleine would never take a boyfriend with her to an official wedding abroad!

Talking about Madde and her horse .....
Did she have her own horse at one time?
- or was it horse assigned to her (i doubt it) ?

What does the horse in Madde's absence?
- eat up a lot of hay and money
- or is enjoying the green grass beyond the lime-light of her owner ? ;)

I think Pappa kungen has stopped to finance the expensive hobby of his daughter, after he has seen, that it just was a "spleen"/qirk or a typical teenager-phase. So I guess when she´s still riding she "borrows" a horse in the riding stable (the Royal one or another one)

Princess Madeleine owns (I believe she still owns them) two horses: Pontiac and Chrizz which are placed at The Royal Mews (the Royal Stable) and has their own caretaker assigned to them.

When she was still an active rider, she used to compete a bit for a riding club together with two of her best friends. She loved being in the stables, she found horse people easy to deal with and they treated her normally.

But after the press found out of her competing in secret, she found it very hard to concentrate and quit that and only rode near The Royal Mews (so she could be left alone). Then when she was completing her last year of high school (gymnasiet) she almost gave up riding. I haven't heard anything about the horses being sold, so I think they're still hers.

Fun fact: In 2001 one of Sweden's best riders in jumping, Lisen Bratt-Fredricson, rode Princess Madeleine's horse Pontiac at Falsterbo Horse Show's competition Falsterbo Hunting. Madeleine herself was present during most parts of the Falsterbo Horse Show week that year, and has been other years too.
