She does a great work for the rights of children and for young girls. I admire her work. Children marriages is one of the most abuse of children. Children should play, go to school, grow up in a harmonical milieu.
 
Fantastic lady. She matters for all those without name and face, brutallu oppressed and denied basal human rights.

Yesterday, March 2, Princess Mabel attended the international ministers conference entitled "She Decides" to call for the inscription of the rights of women and girls on the top of international agenda in the next years, in Brussels.

A dynamic international human rights activist, Princess Mabel is best known as the Chair of Girls Not Brides, as well as CEO of The Elders, an ethical campaign group founded by Nelson Mandela and chaired by Kofi Annan. Prior to this, she founded War Child Netherlands, an NGO which provides assistance to children in areas of recent conflict. A member of the Dutch royal family, her commitment to campaigning and activism has been unwavering. Princess Mabel was interviewed shortly at a document shown on Monday at finnish TV Channel MTV about Martti Ahtisaari, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate 2008 and the former President of Finland.
Princess Mabel was interviewed because she has worked with president Ahtisaari at the Elders Group.

indeed. she is a passionate, involved person. my opinion of her definitely changed massively since she first married into the family. i am so impressed she continues to use her position in the best way to inspire change, and didn't just lock herself up following the death of friso and just attended red carpet events every now and again.

Princess Mabel's foundation Girls, Not Brides has received 4,5 million Euro from the National Postcode Lottery.

Princess Mabel is also working for The Elders. That organization has received 4,5 million Euro from the National Postcode Lottery as well.

Princess Mabel is co-founder of the Dutch branch of War Child. That organization has received 35,8 million Euro from the National Postcode Lottery.

Prince Jaime works for the UNHCR. His organization has received 37,5 million Euro from the National Postcode Lottery.
