The article says that apparently Felipe joined the family on Friday, after the birthday party of King Constantine. Letizia, Leonor and Sofia were almost unnoticed at the beach and therefore could play freely.

I think JC was supposed to go to Constantine's birthday. He was at his brother-in-law's 50th and 60th birthday before. Due to his recent operation, Felipe went for his father at the last minute. Letizia and the girls continued following the original plan to spend the bridge in Portugual.

Ooohhh, yeah, that was for sure the reason, why Letizia spent the long weekend in neighbour country Portugal and not at a beach in Spain..... in her home country she never could have been un-noticed....

Its good to see that the girls & Letizia could go unnoticed on teh beach. It gives them privacy and freedom to play around and just have a good time instead of people coming up to them, watching them and taking their pictures.

The property where Letizia and the girls spent the weekend belongs to the Portuguese businessman Vasco Pereira Coutinho, who was one of the guests at the royal wedding. In the past, Coutinho's property in Ferragudo, Lagoa, has already hosted Felipe and Letizia.
Letizia arrived on Wednesday, 2nd, by car, and the Prince is said to have joined the family on Friday 4th. They stayed until Sunday 6th with Vasco and Isabel Pereira Coutinho.
