I thought the purple ruffles were a bit odd, but that wouldn't have been such an issue if there were something of that colour worked into the neckline of the dress, or brooch. It's in her shoes, and at her wrists and the colour needed to be taken up her body, for balance. Otherwise she looks quite lovely in that pic. Our little princess is growing up.

In the DM article about Eugenie getting her degree the following two paragraphs struck me:

The Mail understands that Beatrice - who has battled dyslexia since she was a child - has also finally found a job herself a year after graduating.
She is currently studying for her financial services exams and will start work at an as yet unnamed company in the industry in September.

If this is correct - well done Beatrice in first off all completing the financial services course and secondly for getting a job.

That stuck out to me as well. A second well done to Beatrice for not only securing a job (discretely mind you) but taking the initiative to start and complete a financial services course

If she wants to work in the City, she will need to bne authorised by the FSA, for which she will need to pass some exams. I suspect she is taking a brief vcourse to help her prepare for those exams.

Yes, but she doesn't have to work in the City, in which she wouldn't have to take the exams... hence my use of "initiative"

The only way to holiday in St Tropez is aboard a luxury yacht. But Princess Beatrice was leaving her impressive boat and heading for dry land in the South of France earlier today. The 23-year-old dressed in an orange and cream striped sun dress and was seen clutching some flip flops as she headed into the town.

I believe because if you look at the sequence of photographs in her very short dress, two of the snaps show her from behind, her dress blowing up to reveal bare bottom. Unfortunate.

I'm surprised the press haven't jumped all over those shots. Not very nice! And yes it very well could be Beatrice's fifth holiday in so many months. She is starting work in September according to the press so we will probably see her on a couple more vacations before she starts work. I wonder if she has finished all her finance exams?

I got a graduate job in banking myself. I knew in the May that I had got the job but the start date wasn't until October. I crammed as much into those 5 months as possible, aware that the chance of my having that sort of free-time available to me when I started full-time employment would be zero. I remember coming home from a holiday in the US and about 3 days later heading to Spain for a family holiday.

I don't blame Beatrice for enjoying her last little bit of freedom to come and go as and when she pleases. I hope she has a better experience in the industry than I have. It can be lucrative, but it's also bloody awful much of the time.

Well, thongs are not my thing but I know lots of younger people who wear them both as underwear and swimwear. No problem, no scandal, no taste!

I'm pretty sure she has a bathing suit under that dress. You can see the straps of the top. I think she has a bit of a wedgie (which she most likely wouldn't want to fix out in the open, because that would be a 'great' shot.)
