The feud goes actually one for several years. Count Gregor has taken over the administration of the Family Estate and posessions from his father several years ago.

Do you know the reason for Carl-Eduard being surpassed by his brother?
 
It seems the King was accompagnied by his brother Prince Constantijn and his sister-in-law Princess Laurentien. Queen Máxima apparently stayed in Greece.

The late Fürst was a youth friend of Claus von Amsberg. It is through him that the Von Bismarcks became intimi of the Orange-Nassaus. With the death of the Fürst the two brothers, Willem-Alexander and Constantijn, will have honoured him in name of their beloved father Claus.

With the passing of the Fürst, the King has two godparents left: Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Mrs Thurlow Bradbrooke Smith née jonkvrouw Renée Elisabeth Röell (a youth friend of his mother Princess Beatrix).

He must be one of the many men who sport a 'vacation/holiday beard'; I expect it to be clean-shaven again when he starts working again.
