Prinncess Gloria of Thurn und Taxis attended the opening performance of
'Lohengrin' at the Richard Wagner opera festival in the southern German
city of Bayreuth on July 25, 2010. The 99th Bayreuth Festival is taking
place from July 25 to August 28 and is the first to be held after the death
of former festival director Wolfgang Wagner.

The castle is magnificent. Furstin Gloria appears to be genuinely interested in promoting her annual festival, which draws a lot of people and artists as well as contributes to the local economy.
I am surprised to see Mr. Tally accompanying Furtsin Gloria, who looked quite nice in a shiny coat and the Flintstones-themed necklace.

Gloria should add something to that plain green coat in order to make her look eccentric once again. And she found it!:D You named it well, Al_Bina!;)
 
Thank you all for the pictures and the videos. I think Princess Gloria is so cool and I admire her for the way she handled the financial circumstances after her husband's death. A very shrewd and smart woman.:flowers:
 
It's very interesting to read that Gloria has at least one admirer. Don't get me wrong, the reality is less flattering. Definitely makes one refrain from any kind of admiration.;):flowers:

The idea of comparing Gloria's necklace to Wilma Flinstone's with stoned necklace already was used by a german TV magazine the day before Al bina mentioned it here. ;)

It is nice to see Furtsin Gloria attending the theater festival. She seems to favour the Flintstone necklaces over her usual pearls.
 
The man with her, I recognise him from somewhere.
Interesting clothing, and the necklace is very cute.

Because they are so rich and very catholic, I think.
I don't understand that, because they have worked for it very hard and being a religious person is not a problem to me.

Princess Gloria has given a few rather controversial interviews during the last years. For example she thinks there is no homosexuality - in her opinion it's just temporary fashion, gay men should marry and have children and apparently she prays for her gay friends each day to "heal" them. She also said that condoms aren't a solution when it comes to the problems with HIV in Africa - according to Gloria the Africans just have more sex because it's warmer there. :confused:

After 1867, the mail rights were in the hands of the Prussians, the family found other ways to earn money with agriculture, bancing and with Gloria the Schlossfestspiele. In my opinion really exemplary.
And on my side it´s the family history, especially the Princesses of the house, which makes the family more interesting.

And the Thurn und Taxis are not just Gloria, IMO.
 
The girl on page seven is called Xenia Maculan according to the article. Obviously she studied in Edinburgh "Landschaftsarchitektur" (country side architecture??). Currently she is living in Zürich - similar to Albert - in order to carry out a traineeship with a well known "country side architect". Please forgive any inaccurancies in translation :flowers:

Albert is now 27. I think with 30-32 he could get married. That would be great. A new Princess of Thurn und Taxis. Not that the "old" one is bad, but you know what I mean.
